GarethW09...Elbow has a knack for doing that, don't they? Songs like "Mirrorball" and "One Day Like This" are also instant pick-me-ups.

Great lyrics...takes a few listenings to get them into your system, but once they're in, they're there to stay!

i can see why someone might have that as their first impression. A lot of Elbow songs aren't exactly easy listening and you need to really think about them to understand them. It took me a long time to get into them but now i'm hooked and i completely love them,.but I guess everybody's different.

These guys are so extremely ORIGINAL...I love it. In our society today originality has almost dissapeared completely. Very refreshing to see this band. They have been around for so long and it sucks that I have never heard of them until the last few months? The Vocalist is wonderful and unique in his style. The Musicians are all very talented and have a very intense undestanding how to produce sounds that are addictive and instantly likeable.

It's kinda hard to word :) But he's basically adding an effect to the vocals which sounds muffed and distorted, you can hear it at times. Hope I didn't fuck that up!

I found these guys when a record store had One Day Like This playing on a little screen near the "S" section. I've loved em' ever since.

Ribcage is kind of like a disguised gospel song. I think it's my favorite song of theirs.
