  • A 70 year old reincarnated in the body of a 17 year old.

  • He sounds like 35 hahah

  • Good for him! This young man will grow up to be succesful!

  • What a wonderful kid, this Nick! And what is wrong with people who are so critical & writing such nasty remarks...lighten up, this is the story of someone, albeit quite young, who saw a bigger need & stepped up to meet it. He should be getting cheers! I was taught if I didn't have something positive to say, keep it to myself... maybe some people need reminding.

  • Will there be enough like him to save this country or will they be run over by the video gaming goofballs?

  • they sure are fat! up there in minnesota they should stay out of the frozen pizza, dairy, and canned cheap beer section LOSE WEIGHT ESPECIALLY THE FAT BETWEEN YOUR EARS YOU STUPID MINNESOTANS!!!!!

  • I unfortunately have gotten to know this Reprobate individual Nick Graham, to celebrate him as some American Success Story is grotesque. He currently is operating a handful of stores in Iowa that are a complete mess, he ran from his dealings in Armstrong, Mn like the coward he is, after his incompetence ran that store into the ground and was in breach of contract with the investors/owners. His position was that things didn't work out so he shouldn't have to continue to honor the contract.

  • The reality of Nicholas Graham is that he is for all intents and purposes a fraud. His company Truman Wholesale is a phantom company and exists in name only. Ironically, he doesn't even have a wholesale license. His "Ponzi" type schemes trick community leaders and tax payers to front the money for his project with promises of great things but once he has cash in hand, he delivers a substandard product and bleeds it until he gets run out of town. Balard Creek Market, Huxley IA is a great example.

  • I went to school with him.

He's a douche who thinks he knows everthing and he doesnt even have the store anymore.

  • @MyBeautiful713 , sorry that you had to smell him for all those years in school. I am guessing that he didnt bathe back then either....and douche is much to kind of a word for him

  • i wonder what the town would've been like without a grocery store. Being from a city, I couldn't imagine. ..

  • This young fella is wonderful. He is the essence of what our young people need to be and do. Wish you well.

  • i think this is really cool. what's the big deal? the kid is beyond his years in realizing the importance of COMMUNITY. why is everyone talking shit to each other over that? isn't that what youtube was originally supposed to be? a community? ah, humanity, you never fail to fail.

  • True man.

  • He sounds older than he is

  • bless you nick hay make some too

  • @bustanddustand That's a mean comment but i fuckn laughed my ass of!!!!

  • This is such a wonderful example of the American Dream staying on target and not going hog-wild, crazy, and greedy! What a grounded nice young man.

  • awww good for him!!!

  • What do you do Dogmatic ?????? Hummm

  • @GeneFlygene What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Even if I was a CEO of a multi-national company, I wouldn't expect some stupid fucking news team to show up and waste air time filming me, you fucking retard.

  • Jesus Christ. Who gives a shit? Is that really newsworthy?

  • @DogmaticDestruction hahahahaha

  • um ya.. he sold the store. He also bought one in Armstrong, Iowa. He was unable to manage the product. Needed a little more education on what he was doing. Pretty sure he went to college though. So in theory he did something very good for a small town, but in the end inexperience and too little of education won.

  • @amandamjorgensen Hi, I am nicks youngest sister...

I am pretty sure he had knew a lot on what he was doing. He did not go to college. First of all, you dont know the store why he close the store in Armstrong, so dont being saying all this stuff..

    FYI

He now owns many grocery stores in Iowa..

(this wasnt supposed to sound me,.)

  • Good for him! That gives me hope. :)

  • Thats my brother!

    Love ya!

  • the eye of the new world order in the intro

  • he had cameras on him almost every day at school.

  • he used to go to my school, truman high school

  • potential leader of da world???

  • he will get alot of pussy with this story

  • so much he will turn into a pimp and still own the same store :P

  • This man rocks.

  • this kid is a great ro model!

  • and you arent. it is spelled roll model. wtf?

  • @GraphicAbility more like "role model" but that's beside the point. you = rude.

  • his laugh lol

  • theres hope in the world never forget that

  • This is very helpful, as I have to make a feature article on a teenager that gives teenagers a good name for my English stuff at school. God bless him

  • he used to go to my school, he used to have i think it was 3 or 4 stores but sold them all. now he is doing things with a day care center in fairmont minnesota

  • Smart kid.

  • He's fucking metal!

  • Young people have gotten alot of bad press in north america and in the uk, but he shows that not all young people are like that.

  • what a great young man !!!

  • See! Kids are not totally useless!

  • I think this is great! I think you would call this Capitalism. That is not communism. It is "The Market Driven Economy."

  • The message is communism works if just given a chance.

  • Not communism--capitalism.

  • I agree with GramMRT...you spelled "capitalism" wrong...

  • I know him, he used to go to my school. He sold his store in my town though. the one that got him on tv.

  • WOW AMAZING !What a wonderful person your awesome I'm very happy that at the same time why don't CBS give us more of these story's ?

This is what young men and young girl need to look at and not how killed this person or that one .CBS should shine more light on people like this man !

  • Hey that is great.. cool :)

  • Wow it's weird, if you listen to just his voice, you could swear you're listening to a 50 year old.

  • I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!!!

  • Great kid, great story.

  • Makes me wish I could find that sense of community. Living in a metropolitan area of 5.5 million makes that impossible.

  • Good on you......

  • What a great kid. He kind of reminds me of that one dude from Who's the Boss. The dude from that episode where Tony Danza rapes someone on the night train.

  • idiot.

  • This guy reminds me of Warren Buffett.

  • I hope he does well, it is kind of funny though, he sounds like an old man. But I do to so it is o.k.

  • Haha.

  • Good for him, I hope he makes it.

  • Just wish the News Media at least focused on more pieces like this, what is right with our country not always what is wrong. I am sure everyone reading these words knows of someone that could be featured like this young man.

  • Minnesota is the best

  • what a great person :)

  • So awesome! Good for him.

  • well done truman

  • He's got a great heart.

  • great kid! good luck in the future!

  • Too Cool!Great Story,Being a Produce Manager i can relate.

  • The youth of America is not lost.

  • Truman is an inspiration. Kinda the opposite of renetto.

  • He will learn more from running a store than any college could teach him.

  • wow, that is amazing. Good for you! I wish him all the best! Just think if world was full of more people like him.

  • aww that is amazing.

  • cool kid...god bless

  • wow what a guy

  • cool.

  • he sounds a lot older than his age. I mean the way he talks and all..

  • great job

  • This is the kind of news that makes me feel warm inside. I'm tired of hearing about the lives of celebrities being passed off as news. Nick Graham is my new hero.

  • The world would definitely be changed the other way round if there were more people like this young man! Great news!

  • lol

  • i have $10,000 - maybe i should buy a store....

  • It'll be interesting to see what that guy does with the rest of his life. I hope some newsperson follows his progress for us. What a "kid"!!

  • If only there were more people like that, and towns were that caring for eachother. For 17 years old, he is a lot more mature than some adults I know. I wish him and the town the best of luck.

  • nice guy

  • He sounds like a 30 yr old

  • I see ambition in this man.

  • That is great - he represents the best thing about USA. I hope he gets all the support and succeeds in all his ambitions.

  • Stuff that movies are made of.

  • Small American towns are going down the tubes. I hope Walmart dosn't move in and drive him out.

  • He is why the future is in good hands!

  • Great kid. The world would be a better place if all kid's we're like him.

  • sweet :)

  • Woot woot!! Minnesota Rocks! lol We raise them right.

  • Awww, That's Sweet

  • cool stuff...

  • quite the inspirational individual. I wish him all the best.

  • good for him...

  • Aww, thats nice.

  • Very mature kid.

  • God bless him.

  • That's really pretty cool to see a teenager make that kind of commitment, even though he already talks and acts kind of like an old guy. Cool story. But c'mon man...cut your granny a break!

  • If the news had more stories like this, I would actually watch it. I'd rather see stories like this that happen everyday on all the time than have to see murders, rapes, and violence always being reported.

  • cool

  • wow i hope it works for him

  • absolutely amazing

  • What Grocer means?

  • thats awesome

  • I wish him all the best, this is a very good initiative!

  • What a great human being. I sincerly hope he knows nothing but health, wealth and happiness in his life.

  • is it me, or does he sound like he's 68 years old?

  • It would be nice to see more of these kind of stories. Very positive and inspirational. Thanks for posting this.

  • I liked him! He is sweet, a great guy=P

  • we need more people like that.

  • SEE that is what America WAS made of. WHAT HAPPENED? Why is this irregular? This should be standard here.

  • he is so hot XXX

  • Well done, how old is he?

  • awww... absolutely love this story :-)

  • That's SO SO COOL!

fantastic! I want to met this guy!

  • Simply amazing... Let's really hope globalization and Wal-Mart don't ever make it there with their small-business eliminating practices. Wonder what would happen? These small-town people seem to have the real sense of community that no "low-price" greedy corporate chain has ever brought anywhere it's gone.

  • WOW - That makes my day!

  • what a absolute inspiration the world needs more people like him, who follow their heart

  • Yah for real. That kid has his head on straight, good job and keep up the great work.

  • Congratulations for him!

  • Dude wtf, That guy sounds like a grown man! i bet his grandma smokes, thats why his voice is like that.

  • awesome

  • Great guy I wish him and the town well.

  • These are the kind of people that Wal-Mart puts out of business regularly. >:( I wish the dood the best of luck.

  • he's awesome

  • I wonder if any of the officials at the University of Minnesota has seen this--they should be tripping over themselves to give this kid, I mean, young man, a scholarship.

  • He seems very grown-up. Most 17 yr olds are too busy being angsty and misunderstood to lift a finger. Speaking from experience of course.

  • There's still hope for America's children!

  • aawww, i wanna go there and meet the guy! lol...he'll be a legend there forever.

  • I can see Matt Damon playing the lead here ...

    kaye

  • america needs more guys like this

  • His voice sounds like Mister Rogers.

  • I got to give it up to a guy who does something so selfless like this-it shows that there is still a sense of pride and moral integrity in America.

  • ahh, sweet kid!

  • Wow...having worked in a similar business, I know how hard this is...so in my eyes, this boy is amazing! He's really going places.

  • Good Story ;)

  • he's a modest hero..!

  • fantastic

  • I may sound like I'm hating, but did he use his parents' money to buy the Main Street Market? Seeing as he's 17 years old, the statement "I am not here to make a profit" doesn't hold water. There'd be no need for him to own the store if no money-making was involved.

  • He said he was there to make a profit.
