Nice song. I'm from Oxford so knew of Mr Big already but was was reminded of the band when I heard them mentioned on BBC 6music in connection with the Anyone Can Play Guitar music doc that's coming out soon. Oh and just to clarify to all you people saying they're stupid naming themselves after a famous band... This Mr Big is the original Mr Big from the 1970s.

Just heard this for the first time and immediately replayed it twice. Superb work, Jeff and the band. But you don't put in 35 years worth of making music if you don't still have a passion for it so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

For the uninitiated - this Mr Big is the original ... and the best! One of the most under-rated bands of all time.

Ha ha well done robertnobody but you are addressing the REAL MR BIG you should tell the American lot that there was already a band by that name, I saw Dicken and the boys back in 80/81 at the Reading Rock Festival as Broken Home, and first heard of Mr Big in 77 I think it was, when I saved up my pocket money to buy ROMEO.

Wonderful song. I've been a fan since 1977 when I first heard Romeo. I first heard it when my uncle bought me the cassette as a christmaspresent. Not to disturb my grandparents I was sitting in my grandmothers car all night listening to the album over and over... the battert of my grandmothers car finally ran out of power.

I was born in Marston, Oxford and Vincent Chaulk from the band Mr Big (uk) is my cousin. I lived in the same street as his mum still does for a while. loved the songs back then, especially Romeo. Bev Laman (nee Clarke).

There's two bands called Mr Big, this one is the UK pop rock band. That trademark is only for the American metal band. Bands sharing names aren't too uncommon. There were two bands called Vixen, and one of them (the all-female band) was originally called Genesis!

This is where Youtube is fantastic. Romeo was my favourite song of the 70s, tracked it down and now see you're still making good music. Good on you, hope the music industry has had more ups than downs, especially as my lad is just starting out! Cheers.

Mary Whitehouse had complained more at the inuendo aspect of the song, than any individual word/line so yes the BBC went ahead and banned it for a while.
