  • Automatic trains!!

  • What is the top speed? And 0-100 took how many sec?

  • They should make it do a loop-de-loop on the bridge.

  • Who's there talking so loud?

  • who the hell calls it the skybridge, ive never heard that

  • Where does that crossover at 2.09-2.11 lead to?

  • @yaumatei1994 hey! the crossover at 2:09 -2:11 goes to the melenium line that was built in 2000 it goes to the tri cities! but this line wich is the expo line goes to downtown then theres the canada line wich goes to the airport and the richmond oval

  • I hate it when people refer to motormen as drivers. you don't DRIVE a train!, You OPERATE a train!

  • lol those dudes talking in the background sound like hobos

  • thanks for sharing, i havent been on the skytrain since I lived there 20 years ago and it just went from vancouver to new west. good to see the new expansion!

  • ''that thing looks like a big sized brownie you get from starbucks!'' I wonder what he was talking about...... some one get a mop and bucket...

  • Faster than our piece of shit Scarborough R.T. Cars

  • is that a spider at 0:49 ?

  • @27962Joker No, only dirt in the window

  • I'm fingering my ass as I type this

  • this is verry nice train in very nice town

  • im afraid of heights so i wouldn't even bother getting in that

  • @Jazzie646 what if you didn't know you would be going over that and a friend brought you on it?

  • BEST VIDEO EVER

  • Damn that train flew over the bridge. In NYC the subway crawls over the Manhattan Bridge. The United States is so far behind the other industrial countries in terms of technology.

  • lol, you idiot, the USA is the leading developer of technology in the world. you are using youtube, google, microsoft, intel, etc right now. what do you think that is?

  • dude, each country has it's own technological advantages, Canada for example has the world's cleanest and most efficient nuclear power, whereas the USA has the world's best nuclear weaponry.

  • explain to me what kind of source you have where you found that canada has the worlds cleanest nuclear power. i would love to see what research you have. as far as i know, france uses nuclear power for 80% of its energy, and if you actaully looked at FACTS AND NUMBERS, you would realize that per capita, canada is one of the worst polluters and CO2 emission polluters in the world!!! the USA per capita emissions were 22.9 while canada was 24.1. it would help to look at FACTS before speaking.

  • We don't need too many reactors, but we did produce the CANDU ACR-1000 reactor, which is cooled with heavy water. It's the world's safest (there's almost no chance it can blow up, because of the failsafes that are installed in it) and most efficient reactor, we're trying to sell the technology to other countries, such as the states.

Calm down man, I hate seeing you get so worked up over such a small problem. I'm talking about nuclear power, you're talking about emissions per person.

  • also, according to nationmaster's, wikipedia's and timeforchange's charts, the US is a higher emitter per capita of Co2 than Canada, in all three charts.

Even if you numbers weren't pulled out of your ass, Canada would still be emitting less overall considering that we have roughly 1/10th your population.

I'd consider having a nice cup of shut the f*ck up before asking if i've looked at "facts and numbers".

  • please see message and stop looking like a douche

  • asia far exceeds both Canada and the USA in technology

  • Just because you bought it doesn't mean you invented it. We all love to sell to the US. The US barely makes anything on its own anymore. And shifting the little that can be labeled as US to outsourcing certainly has lowered the brand quality of "Made in America"

  • lol r u hearing the conversation in the background? LOL got some crazy ppl on the left coast.

  • this looks skettchyyy

  • I pooped off that bridge

  • Skybridge ROCKS!!!

  • Dang man, you started at scott road, right? Thats the station i use... and its parking sucks.

  • the TTC RT train and Vancouver SkyTrain have different bell

  • why does the skytrain go slowe rthan usual over the bridge?

  • It doesn't, just seems that way with the vertical-diagonal support cables being there. Jedi mind trick.

  • lol. "heh heh heh yeah that's a good one! -is it ok if I use that?"

"you look like a big piece of multi-coloured bubble gum!"

    Best transit convo ever hahaha!

  • i am going there for burgr kings exhabition in novembar. do yu thinkthat driver of train let me off onbridge and let me walk the rest of way home?

  • yeah, but you'd have to know how to reprogram an automaticlly driven train to do so.

  • Yes, the train is all automatic. There is no driver so you can actually sit in front of the train.

  • @dmichaud1983 Are you sure no one is monitoring it at the HQ? Sure it may be automatic with softwares operating but im sure they have someone making sure the computers are working.

  • @Superiorpakfan Yes of course the whole transit network is constantly monitored for anything that could disrupt the service. There is just no actual driver in the train.

  • thats cool did they u guys get to sit on the front of the train?

  • glad to know I'm not the only one who's goofed up at Columbia station and you realize it when you start crossing this bridge to Surrey! It is because of the signage at the top of the stairs, they color code it to show the two sides of the platform, but don't clarify that it is a different stairwell you need to go to.

  • last time i accidentally went to surrey going on this bridge lol

  • i've done that *so* many times. Columbia station is terrible...

  • I can see it happening once and a while if one is absentminded or thinking of something else and just wanders on but I don't know why this is a problem with the station.

Any major system that has multiple lines requires you to pay attention and board the correct train as they run through the same portion of track. Vancouver is pretty lucky actually as there are only 2 lines to worry about now. In Hamburg you often have 3 lines running through some of the same stations.

  • I haven't done it in YEARS but my first few years in vancouver it severely screwed me many times. The problem is they dont explain it very well or at all for n00bs from small towns like me.... :(
