So Itachi > Pein. Or Itachi = Pein. It's hard to believe that Pein would be weaker than Itachi... but Kishi knows how to make an Uchiha practically invincable... even more than he knows how to tell a story, because Naruto is poor compared to what it used to be.

who said that Pain's weaker than Itachi again. Of course Pain isn't weaker than Itachi. They're probably equal. Pain's close to invincible if you don't know his secret. Even one of the legengary sannin couldn't win against him. On the other hand Itachi's just kinda special you see. So we'd have to see them fight to se who's stronger.

It's interesting because Pein's "secret" is his downfall. That's a huge weakness and overall effects how powerful he is. Basically he takes a huge risk. Maybe if Nagato himself wasn't half dead, he'd be even more powerful. And the legendary sannin title used to mean something, but then Orochimaru became weak and Tsunade just sat on her ass all day. I'd say that Pein and Itachi are equal... but there's always a stronger.
