I understand that building muscle does take time but the earlier u start the better. i can barely fit into jeans, and my mom says i need to gain weight to be able to fit into my school jeans. my question is that i need to gain weight and id like to gain muscle but you say that u need to lose weight to gain musce. what should i do?
I drink around 8 pints of water a day, I just love the cool sensation and actually enjoy the taste as well. I noticed when I get dehydrated I'm very weak and not only that, I'm a moody fool, not the best thing to be when your body is in no state for confrontation.

what if you have a small bladder? If I were to drink as much you in the morning (a litre) I'd be peeing every 10-20 minutes. I don't mind drinking that much water at all but it's really really really annoying having to go to the washroom that often :S

What about MMA fighters when they cut water weight to make there weight class? Wouldn't it be better just to fight at you're natural weight instead of cutting 15 pounds of water? @100percentNatural100 they cut pounds of water and also dont eat before the weigh in just to make the weight requirements, after that they drink like mad men before the fight and also eats tons of carbs such as pasta which is high in carbs and also keeps you hydrated from the water in the pasta.
@100percentNatural100 if you have a guy thats at 5% of body fat at 180 pounds vs a guy that has 10% of body fat at 180. the 5% guy whos cutting 7 pounds (as is the 10% guy) of water weight just to make 180 will have 9 pounds of muscle advantage over the other guy. which is a lot considering that 5% guy is stronger and might have a stronger upper body to develop a stronger punch to knock the other guy out. idk if this is relevant to you but i just wanted to share.
@100percentNatural100 Well,when an mma fighters cuts weight they regain all their lost water weight the next day.Cause you weigh in the day before the fight then regain all that weight so you will have an advantage in size.Also, they are under constant supervision so It's rare to see an mma fighter and desperate need for care.And as far as performance unless you had a bad weight cut,it really won't affect your performance.

But when he said respiration I was thinking of the oxidative process which the chemical energy of organic molecules is released in a series of metabolic steps and liberation carbon dioxide and water. Not the act of inhaling and exhaling. But aerobic respiration involves the consumption of oxygen so ventilation system is involved like you said which cause dehydrate especially in dry environment.

@robfer21 Theyre protein. If you get your required amount of protein per day, you dont need them, however, they are actually a cheap source of protein if you think about it (compared to beef for example). And directly after a workout, whey is the best type of protein (most anabolic).
I hate such videos on YouTube which contain only talking, but not this one. It's very motivational, thanks a lot. I'll try hydrate well and see if there's a great difference in performance. Now let's go drinking.
Hey Scooby, i'm drinking lot of water all the time, but after doing my 30-40 minutes cardio i'm always getting very dehydrated once finished, I drink a lot before, while and after but i'm still very dehydrated even 4-5 hours later, which is a big problem when I do my training after dinner - I can't sleep because I need to drink, but If I drink too much I end up needing to pee every 30 minutes... So I get tired the next day because I didn't sleep enough. Any tips to fix the problem? thanks!

this is great advice....the best way for me to make sure i drink enough water is to carry a gallon jug with me....lol when im in class my professors thinks im hungover or have to take a piss test....Moral is carry a gallon jug if you cant drink water alot

@cultivationist I agree, but: 1) It is not an artificial sweetener. It is natural and has no calories and no known side effects (unlike artificial sweeteners like Nutra-sweet, saccharin, and Sucralose, and 2) I have used it since it came out and have not personally had that experience. You should try it. It's a little pricier, but, like I said, I hate just plain water unless I am REALLY thirsty!

i finally found the reason ive been becoming so tired just after 30 seconds straight of running, its because ive been way under hydrated. for the past few days that ive really been getting into bodybuilding, ive been wolfing down water bottles like crazy, now i can run 30 minutes straight without stopping, and the cramps and dry mouth have stopped too :) hooray for water!

this is great advice....the best way for me to make sure i drink enough water is to carry a gallon jug with me....lol when im in class my professors thinks im hungover or have to take a piss test....Moral is carry a gallon jug if you cant drink water alot

@cultivationist I agree, but: 1) It is not an artificial sweetener. It is natural and has no calories and no known side effects (unlike artificial sweeteners like Nutra-sweet, saccharin, and Sucralose, and 2) I have used it since it came out and have not personally had that experience. You should try it. It's a little pricier, but, like I said, I hate just plain water unless I am REALLY thirsty!

i finally found the reason ive been becoming so tired just after 30 seconds straight of running, its because ive been way under hydrated. for the past few days that ive really been getting into bodybuilding, ive been wolfing down water bottles like crazy, now i can run 30 minutes straight without stopping, and the cramps and dry mouth have stopped too :) hooray for water!
