I havent played homecoming but I will get that game early next year ...I'm quite sure I will enjoy it. SH 2 is my fav in the series but I've played SH 1 , 3 , 4 ,origins and I like all of them. I dont really like SH 4 atmosphere to be honest, its the only silent hill which didnt feel like silent hill because its focusing on the apartment & Henry's room... but I still enjoy the game for what it is.

sh1: father going trough hell to find his daughter

sh2: husband looking for the truth about his wife

sh3: a girl learns about her past and takes payback for what they did to her father

sh4: an innocent man target of a serial killer along with other 20 people, must discover the truth and save himself from being a victim

sh5: ehh... (i must re-play it... weak plot)

@roler42 I know, but Homecoming didn't have that bad of a story: Brother has dreams about his younger brother in danger, and goes back to check on him, only to find the whole town is in danger, people are missing and his younger brothers missing too. Now he must discover the truth of whats going on, save the remaining people, and save his brother too.

I beat it few days a ago and I am now replaying it again. I like Homecoming's story but I liked Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 1 storys better.

@ShirtlessGuy88 plus... main reason i didn't like homecoming that much, its because it tried too hard to be like silent hill 2 (remember at the time people were raging about sh not being like 2 anymore), if you compare them, its almost the same storyline, james looking for his dead wife, alex looking for his dead brother, neither know the truth, and both run into PH, besides... homecoming had too much combat, even 4 had bits where you could just run away

Yeah I can see where your coming from as Origins supposidly being number 0 before the other games, but I think the plot all together was still fantastic. Not to mention, Origins was my favorite because it wasn't just all about Alessa this time but finding out about Travis and his true inner self. It went into more depth in that game as does Silent Hill 4. I've played most all the Silent Hill games and by far number 2 and 0 are my favorites for that reason.
