His solo version is not solo. There is a woman in the background who is playing too. An other fact is: Matt Weddle is the singer of Obadiah Parker. So this is HIS band. and they HAVE a racord deal if u ask me, but that i do not know for sure

I broached this subject in a conversation with Mat on myspace. She's definitely a good musician and singing live brings in a whole set of complexities that can be fixed in studio. It's so easy to sing flat.
