  • I made the faux fried rice yesterday but it was way too salty. Next time I will make it without the bacon or less soy sauce. Otherwise it was okay.

  • @tyjones61 It's funny how different taste buds are. I am glad you have an idea how to alter it to your tastes.

  • wow this looks AMAZING!! cant wait to try it, hopefully tonight!!

  • @maluch Thanks! I hope it turned out great for you.

  • @bowulf i made it for lunch an hr ago. it was best thing i've eaten in two weeks!!! my mom loved it as well. my father ate it not even asking what it was and he so picky! much love for sharing this recipe!!!

  • @maluch I am glad your family liked it... My kids never knew the difference the first time I served it to them either.

  • I made this last week and it turned out yummy! I used chicken instead of ham and added some bean sprouts and left over raw broccoli slaw for added crunch.

  • Des moines marathon shirt? Would that be dm iowa? Ps thanks for the recipes. They're great

  • @emim05 Yep, live in Polk City. :-) I have lived here for over 8 years now. Des Moines Marathon is definitely my favorite race.

  • Great recipe, I had it with some chicken earlier, fantastic.

Thanks for making it easier to keep to my diet, mate :)

    Dave

  • @kevinsaturday You are very welcome... I am glad I could help.

  • Thank you for sharing your recipe with us :)

  • @bepoia no problem I am glad I could...

  • @dreammakersfly You are very welcome. I just glad I can share them with you guys.

  • thanks. i watch all your videos u r an inspiration!!!!

  • @blessedchild2 No problem, I am glad I could share them...

  • I think those recipes are very good !!! U have motivated me to start the diet , because at first I was wondering what thing could I eat , thank u so much for your giving of your time to share those recipes... Keep up the good work

  • @pinklulu22 I appreciate the kind comments, and am glad I can provide the motivation for you to start. Just keep your eyes open for more videos and recipes that you'll like.

  • beginning to think all low carbers have blue delft plates! I have the same one's as Linda's Low carb!

I just have thing for blue and white plates! beautiful job Kent, I think I will make that for lunch!

  • @TheOnlyAlexandra Hey, I blame my Delft plates on my Dutch heritage... :-D

Or maybe the best low carbers are Dutch ones? (just kidding)

  • Could I make a suggestion, instead of putting your beaten egg in to the pan with the faux rice, beat it and make a thin pancake in a separate pan, must be thin. Then when it's cooked roll it up and add the chopped egg to the faux rice. This is how most Chinese do it, and to be honestest it not only looks better but also tastes better. Try it and you'll see what I mean. (I lived with a Chinese girl for many many years lol)

  • @one4all1000 Thanks for the suggestions -- although I think my wife might yell about yet another dirty pan. :-)

  • @bowulf lol... just tell her that to create great food you have to dirty a few pans :) It does make the egg fried rice not only look better but also taste better. Also if you add a splash of lea n perrins Worcestershire Sauce to the eggs whilst beating, it gives them a loved kick and makes it taste even better. :))

  • I have made several of your recipes, they have all been amazing so far!! Thank you for taking us step by step through these recipes! You look great!

  • I am very surprised! I think I like it better than real fried rice! Thank you very much for sharing this.

  • @lmcrg I agree. The flavor of this one and the ease of making it certainly surprised me too.

  • bowulf thanks for the encouragement to eat lowcarb :) i'm slowly switching but i'm having a hard time letting go of my soda lol!! The only problem is is that I am allergic to diet sugar and diet drinks. Anything that contains diet sugar I get sick off of.

  • @dragonlion5161 I know it's tough, but it can be done. I went from a 4 liter a day Diet Dew habit to just water. It was really hard the first few weeks, but I got convinced it was necessary for me to hit to goal. Even diet soda (let alone real soda) wasn't worth staying fat.

  • briliant... cauliflower instead of rice... why didn't i think of that?

  • @themark462 I wish I could claim the genius behind this, but I am just like you benefiting from someone else's creativity.

  • how do you recommend cutting The cauliflower if you don't own an electric food processer!?

  • @ThePrettymeh A box grater works pretty well too. You can try to do it with a knife as well, but a grater would work better.

  • Just made this a few mins ago. Delicious!!! Only i grated the cauliflower too much but now I know. thanks for the recipe.

  • @onlinecashflowmaker Glad you liked it! This is still one of my favorite recipes.

  • WOW HOW TOTALLY FUCKED UP AND STUPID.......LOOK UP RAW VEGAN DISHES THAT USE CAULIFLOWER....OTHERWISE....PLEASE STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE KITCHEN, YOU HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT SO EVER

  • @whothehellgivesadamn Dude - add some fat to your diet, you seem to be anxious about something.

  • @whothehellgivesadamn wow how rude this isn't a vegan recipe this is called the atkins diet and it's low carb it isn't vegan you dick. Btw you are still killing a plant a life form when you bite into a vegetable. Get over yourself you useless individual. God I hate vegans and you know why because of people like you that think they are better than everyone else. Fuck you because in my eyes you still are killing something even if it doesn't look like meat.

  • @dragonlion5161 So go kill yourself already-you idiot!

  • @88jmct Dang - what is with attitude?

  • Very Nice my one friend just turned Diabetic and this will be a Life saver for him ! Thank you!

  • @dragondeathlord You are very welcome. I am glad I could others with these recipes. They keep my life or eating from getting in a rut too.

  • is the colliflower pre cooked before it goes into the food processer

  • @nettystylz No it's raw.

  • I second that I would buy your cook book your language is understandable and your recipes are amazing. Your detailed and that is what we need I have a pancake recipe I can share with you that is induction friendly since I could not find a good induction one on the net. Keep making us happy LOL !!

  • @MsShawnq Thank you for the kind words. I like the creativity of the cooking, and it gives me an outlet from my day to day work life. I am working right now on an extended induction pancake as it has some nut flour in it. You can certainly send me your recipe as well. :-)

  • thank-you for posting this! I'm going to try to do this with shrimp/walnuts to imitate my favorite dish (honey, shrimp, walnut with fried rice) so thanks again!!

I also love your humble spirit, never lose it!

  • @brat2bugya Sounds delicious!

  • Great idea! I loved it! I used Chinese sausage, dumped the grease from that and replaced with olive oil, and added red peppers and onions (had no green onions). Served it with shrimp- so good! Thank you!

  • @lgregphd You're welcome. This is definitely one of my favorites...

  • Once again, amazing! My favorite one yet. I have really missed chinese food the past month.

  • YOu should make your own cookbook, and then sell it yourself!!!!!!!! I will buy it. :)

  • @tarawilder123 Give me time, and I may have news on this front in a few months.

  • @tarawilder123

I agree he should, "The Atkins DIet Cookbook, How I succeded and you can too!!"

  • I find the hardest thing for me when dieting is getting enough nutrition. Smaller portions work, but I’m left hungry and less food= less nutrition. I use nutritional supplements now and eat healthy, full meals.I got started at ryansnutrition com and have my appetite under control.

  • Great idea! I'll try mine with celery root instead of cauliflower. If you add a little fish sauce, green chili, and fresh basil you'll have a great Thai stirfry!!

  • @gregoriodavila That sounds delicious. I am just beginning to really appreciate all the different type of Asian flavors over and above the common Chinese ones.

  • This was delicious!!! I just made it. My boyfriend was a little skeptical since he is a fried food fan, but he really liked this!!!

  • @nicolebell81 I don't blame him. I was skeptical too at first. I was surprised at how much I liked it the first time. It was like "dang, I could have been eating this whole time!" Thanks for the feedback!

  • I am new to low carb and this looks great. I can't wait to try this. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @mslegacy35 Glad you like it; check out my other recipes. Best of luck!

  • i don't have a processer to mince the cauliflower like that.. how can i do it other wise? should i just try to chop it with a knife? thank you!

  • @idrinkcatpee A box grater would work as well, but if you want to finely chop the cauliflower, it would work too.

  • I made this tonight without the bacon & ham and because I couldn't find sesame oil I used peanut oil instead... OMG it was to die for. My 9 year old ate an entire bowl and had no idea I used califlower!! Even my boyfriend who is a rice and bread fanatic said it was just as good as Osaka's fried rice and wants me to make it with pork! Great job and thanks so much for sharing!

  • @TheKhalamity I am glad you and yours liked this recipe. It is definitely one of my favorites too. Glad I could share it with you...

  • love your videos. please keep it up

  • @JakeAmdahl I have a number of great recipes coming up, so I hope you like them.

  • @JakeAmdahl I could adapt this to a vegetarian style very easily-thanks for the idea!

  • Thank you for replying! Grating it should work! My 19 year old daughter is on the Atkins with me and reminded me that we have a hand blender with a chopping blade that I haven't tried yet! We also tried your mock danish yesterday and enjoyed it! Today my daughter plans on trying it with a cream cheese icing. Thank you for all your great recipes!

  • Thank you for replying! Both my 19year old daughter and myself have been on the Atkins for 6 weeks now. She reminded me that I have this hand blender with a chopping blade that I will try. Or grating it should work too! Thank you! We tried your mock danish yesterday and enjoyed it! Today my daughter is making one and will try it with a cream cheese icing (if it works).

  • @schmaga50 I hope your hand blender works -- or even a cheap slap n' chop might do the chop as well. Best of luck to the both of you, and if you have any questions, make sure to ask.

  • This looks great and I would love to try it! I don't have a food processor, can I chop the cauliflower enough for it to work? Love all your recipes!!

  • @schmaga50 You could be you would have to chop VERY finely. A perhaps better idea would be to use a box shredder / grater to do it if you had one of those. Where there is a will though there is a way.

  • @schmaga50 We use a hand grater and it comes out fantastic - the texture was just like basmati rice :)

  • Pretty Russian brides gettop5.info

  • are you shredding the flower part or the flower and stem part of the califlower

  • @CoachU2Health Actually I used both S blade and the grating disc on the food processor. The combination of both I think gives the best results. I shred everything except the really hard inner core.

  • are you using the S blade and the shredding blade or just the shredding blade of your food processor. are you putting the cauliflower and the stem or just the flower part

  • Is the colifower precooked?

  • @gkyahoo No, it is raw when you grate it, and they you fry it.

  • Just found your videos...been on atkins for about seven weeks now..doing well down about 28 lbs...I look forward to trying some of your recipes...tyty

  • @JJTINO1231 I am glad you liked this recipe. I am always surprised at how versatile cauliflower is. Before Atkins, sure I occassionally had it with dip raw or with a cheese sauce, but that is where it stopped. Now I am having the stuff all the time. I hope you like the new recipes I am producing as well.

  • very creative with the cauliflower...

    LOVE IT!!!

now i dont can enjoy eating fried "rice" without worrying about the real rice going down my throat.

  • Thanks for the video! Can't wait to make this on Sunday! I just love watching your cooking segments!! :)

  • @lakegirl645 I am sure you'll like it if you like Chinese food. I am in the midst of uploading my newest cooking video right now, so there might be something to try Saturday too. :-)

  • that look's so good,i can't wait to cook it myself,thank you

  • @kackleful If you miss Chinese, this is a sure fire way to satisfy that craving.

  • Thanks Kent

  • @perryboston You are very welcome!

  • Good I feel better now thanks :)

  • I have a least my 2-3 cups of veggies like..celery, peppers, lettuce, onions, and radishes. I'm not too impressed about other veggies so can I get the rest else where??

  • @hammondfamo The majority of your carbs should come from veggies, but yes you can eat the carbs from other legal sources in legal amounts, like 3-4 oz of cheese (4g). The 20g per day is only a top limit not a mandatory each day amount. If you eat between 10-15g, that is enough.

  • I have started phase one of the Atkins diet and I'm affraid of not getting enough carbs in but I cant seem to eat more than what I am.

  • @hammondfamo What vegetables are eating on a daily basis? If you are getting the 2-3 cups in daily (not just iceberg lettuce hopefully), you should be fine -- unless of course you are seeing symptoms. If you aren't getting the vegetables in, then peruse my recipe videos or other LC recipe sites for ideas that might trip your hunger.

  • Did you know what the worst diet in the world is? The South Beach Diet. And yes it surprised me a lot. Everywhere you read it is said that Atkins isn't a good diet. I think it was a doctor called dr. fuhrman who said The South Beach Diet is a diet from hell because it encourages yoyo dieting. Yoyo dieting is worse than keeping on the pounds. Amazing what you can find bu surfing the net.

  • @VelvetGold18 I have my own qualms about why I don't think the South Beach diet is as effective low carb approach as Atkins is, and I do appreciate Fuhrman's approach to lower carb vegetarian than ultra low fat approach of others. I however think his dispute about South Beach is wrong.

His claim of yo-yo dieting is that if one goes off track in maintenance, it coaches the follower to return to a quick phase 1 phase to get control of one's eating. I honestly can't fault that approach.

  • @bowulf It's easy to get confused. There's hundreds or thousands of diets out there and the people who created the diets says only his or her diet works. So I guess I have to ask myself, is this a diet I can follow for the rest of my life or will it be a diet that is only short lived?

  • @VelvetGold18 I agree there is no point beating your head against the wall eating foods you don't want or doing a long term unviable plan for you. I am glad I found the diet for me that could get me to goal weight and keep me there 5 years later.

  • @VelvetGold18 If one is out of control with their eating, Induction or Phase 1 in SB are intended to get that back under control. It's not exactly yo-yo dieting as it is understanding what new foods mean.

Fuhrman is prejudiced against the amount of meat in both SB and Atkins, and while I can accept not everyone needs meat to live healthily (unlike fat which everyone does), I think he focuses on the saturated fats in one's diet too much especially in light of many studies to the contrary.

  • thank u soo much.

  • I'm on a diet that eats a meat and veggies. I guess it works so good. I already lost 5 lbs. But i have just a few recipes for that. I really donno how to call this kind of diet. So i culdn't find good recipe. Please help me!!! just a meat and veggies... no pastas no breads no orange juice no cereals, no hams no cheese, no hot dogs... I can have eggs, milk, fresh butter just a lil bit, If u know about this diet please tell me.

  • @janeuugaa Well there are certainly lots of diets like the one you refer to, and many of recipes that I post here may indeed qualify for your diet although I might use too much cheese for you. You might find the best success in looking for recipes at a Paleo diet website as they perhaps most closely align with your diet choice.

  • that looks so yummmmm!!!! thanks for the great video!! :)

  • I've just made this and it's great! I was a bit sceptical at first but the cauliflower is so disguised my husband could not recognise it. I will be definatly be making more of this.

  • @greencart I am glad you liked the recipe. It's amazing the usefulness of cauliflower. You might try the fauxtatoes one too. The same result happens with that recipe too.

  • LOL you shouldnt weave a knife with a straight blade -.-

  • Great tips. Thanks

  • Great Videos Kent....this are very very helpful

  • @mammon78 You are very welcome. Thanks for watching!

  • Thank you so much for the video! I can't wait to make this tonight!

  • DUDE! I'm gonna make this tonight! Im Day 2 of Atkins. thanks for the recipe! Cheeers mate!

  • That looks pretty amazing for being cauliflower! I am going to have to try this.

  • I have a question is this receipt is when you are out of the induction or you can eat it during the induction tomorrow will be my first week in induction and have lost 12 pound already but im always looking for new receipt thank and congrat on your lost weight.

  • Congrats on your success!

All the ingredients are Induction legal, so you can have it during Induction. (Roughly 1 cup a day)

  • thank for the quick replay I start preparing this then look fantastic thank again

  • this looks amazing. i am going to make it this week. is it too much to ask how many carbs per serving/recipe my husband and i are new to this and want to be disciplined about our carb count. thanks so much. p.s. you should write a cookbook!

  • From the video description:

    Nutrition Info:

    116 Calories; 5g Fat; 9.5g Protein; 9g Carbohydrate; 4g Dietary Fiber; 5g Net Carbs

    Per 1/8 recipe: 64 Calories; 5g Fat; 2g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs

  • Thanks for this recipe! gonna try it soon..

  • WOW im so gonna try this....omg seeing these videos. who need carbs YUMMY

  • I have been watching your videos all day between my work lol. Love them, thanks for the ideas, and congrats on your continueing success.

  • You are welcome, and I am glad I could help. With recipes like these and others at Linda's low Carb, it is hard to feel deprived or like you are on a diet.

  • What is a serving size for this recipe? Thank you!

  • About a cup..

  • That looks pretty good and I'm going to be making it *soon*. Though I think I'll be kicking up the Asian taste a notch or two with a dash or two each of curry powder & ground ginger.

  • Sounds like some nice Asian flavor boosters there...

In my past life, things like rice, pasta, pizza crust, and buns were never the features of the meals themselves but simply carriers for the things I really liked. It's nice now that the carrier can actually be healthy too and perhaps boost the overall flavor too.

  • Great Work! These videos are very inspiring. Thankyou for doing them.

  • You are welcome. I am glad you like them...

  • Finally made it today. Easy, quick and yummy.

  • Sound delicious; I'm going to try it with a head of yellow cauliflower I can get at my natural foods store.

  • It really is. I hope you like it.

  • If you're serious about the sesame seed oil, you have to buy it in bulk from the Korean grocery store. Those tiny bottles from the regular grocery store are overpriced.

  • I only use it by the tsp, so the overcharge is not that bad. I agree though $3 for 6 oz is over-priced.

  • You are welcome. I agree things like this recipe makes it so much easier.

  • thanks will try this one this weekend! :)

  • You are welcome, and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

  • Looks amazing!

I'll have to give this a try!

  • It tastes as good as it looks... I hope you like it Steve.

  • Happy TG. ps - whats 26.2 stand for?

  • i believe it is the length of a marathon...

  • Yep, I just wanted to confirm that 26.2 is the length in miles of a marathon. The sweatshirt I was wearing was a souvenir of my running the Des Moines Marathon. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

  • VERY useful recipe, thanks!

  • Videos like this make me wish smell-a-vision was a reality.

    Happy Thanksgiving Kent

  • I was such a Chinese food addict before Atkins that I was really missing the flavor and smells of Chinese. This recipe goes a long way to putting down those cravings.

  • nice yum

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Love this recipe. Thanks for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

  • great recipe!

  • It really is, and simple too (if you have a food processor). :-)

  • First off Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family - we are thankful that you continue to make videos and be our motivation - I love that recipe and I make it into mexican rice too - just changing the ingredients use salsa throw some cheddar cheese and some spices it is yummy

Well enjoy the holiday with your family

  • We actually had this very conversation last night at a family Thanksgiving Mexican feast. They hadn't made it as such, but I agree it could definitely be used for Spanish rice.

  • low carb lifesstyle!

  • looks great, happy thanksgiving to u and ur fam

  • And to you too...

  • Looks like a great substitute for rice :) thx for the demo!

  • I tell you I can barely tell the difference between it and the real fried rice. I hope you like it, Juno.

  • Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for all you do. I'll be cooking this up tomorrow.

  • No problem, I hope you like it!

  • Looks great. Thanks for the demo!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • looks yummy...I can't wait to try it! Thanks!

  • It really is delicious, and my kids (who are definitely not low carb) love it too. It's hard to believe that eating this healthy and delicious can be so easy to do.
