No I never specifically said that 1 man (i.e. Hogan) killed WCW. I meant that the attitude of the older generation of wrestlers, contributed to the fall of WCW. WCW never produced their own new stars, they relied on guys like Nash, Hogan, Goldberg and since these guys egos went out of control lots of in-fighting took place, then the Bischoff/ Russo did bad things and the rest is history.

If you think Hogan is going to make TNA a better product you must be more out of your mind than I am.

The only thing that killed WCW was the AOL/Time Warner and all the executives trying to run the company who knew nothing about wrestling. Until that merger happened WCW was doing fine despite not creating new stars.

As for Hogan in TNA, Hogan is not coming in to be a wrestler. He's going to be an on air personality and to be an authority. And in being an authority he'll work with guys to groom their character & to give direction. Hogan said he likes AJ, Morgan, Joe, Kong, and Sting. So yeah!

The death of WCW was due to Ted Turner losing his voting shares and the horrible merger of AOL/Time Warner. End of story. Almost all talent is recycled and comes from somewhere else. WWE isn't the end and be all of all of wrestling, you know.

I never said they were, I just explained that TNA seems to want to "emulate" WWE in many ways and they sometimes think that by hiring former WWE talent (some of whom aren't even as good as TNA's talent that they produced themselves), broadcasting in the same arenas WWE uses and copying storylines they will become mainstream which they won't.

I do think that WWE is listening less to the fans nowadays and repeating itself so if TNA can capitalise on that then they could become huge.

I know talent end up swapping sides, but TNA always buys a disgruntled just released WWE wrestler who is over with the fans because they want to bring in the fans to watch TNA.

Look at the music to this video at the beginning for example. That was Jesse Ventura's WWE RAW guest host music that TNA literally stole and put in this video. They don't own the rights to it and WWE could sue TNA for copyright breach but they have better things to do than worry about a gutter promotion like TNA.
