  • This guy conducting the interview needs a good brain flush...doesn't he know anything? Turn off the television you zombie and go find some facts!! facts do help if you hadn't noticed! Its a shame James Delingpole must waste his time schooling this paradigm fiend.

  • I wish Mr. Robinson would stop interrupting and let Mr. Delingpole finish his thoughts, especially in section five. Very annoying, not to mention rude.

  • His arguments on global warming are simply fatuous. You can comment on political matters but you're not a scientist. Leave science to the scientists.

  • James Delingpole, a man who admits he doesn't have the time or scientific expertise to read peer-reviewed scientific papers.

  • My favourite comment on Cameron was by the late great Christopher Hitchens who said "He is a content free zone. There is nothing worth talking about."

  • Delingpole is a fraud. He has no scientific credentials at all. Endorses the most fringe opinions to be found the scientific community in order to create sensation and play to our desires.

Watch him being interviewed in a BBC horizon program on global warming. He has nothing to say about it.

He is a contributor to the mystification of scientific research among the non-specialist. It is indicative of a media who cannot report scientific study without trying to anticipate what will be agreeable.

  • Thatcher merely replaced publicly-owned monopolies with privately-owned near-monopolies and hired an army of bureaucrats to regulate them. Public spending was higher in 1990 than in 1979. Also, she didn't understand the menace of Europe or of the '60s social revolution, till it was too late. Historians will see Blair as the far more revolutionary figure: mass immigration, a second social revolution, more Europe, more taxes, more spending, post-9/11 attacks on civil liberties.

  • I love how goofy Delingpole is.

  • I LOVE James. He's really got a sharp understanding of this.

  • The obvious "non of the above" candidate is Ron Paul.

  • @ManieroHT Yea, it bothered me that when talking about the Republican candidates, they failed to mention Ron Paul at all. I understand if they disagree with Paul on some things, but I think he at least deserves to be mentioned, even if to point out their belief that he's "got some good ideas but is unelectable."

  • Peter Robinson sounds about 5 years behind the times while Delinpole is right on the ball and then some.

  • Delingpole is as "batshit crazy" as one of his colleagues once called him. As for global warming, there are the world's leading, both left and right but evidence-based scientists. and the world's leading right wingers arguing on the basis of ideology and ignorance. The level of stupidity or incuriousity of those who believe the latter on an issue of science is greater than the hyperbole in an average Delingpole article.

  • There is ZERO EVIDENCE of any significant change in temperature due to CO2. Stop repeating the same fallacious appeal to authority by saying "scientists agree on global warming". There are SO MANY credentialed scientists that have exposed the flagrant fraud of the climate change movement that you are making yourself look foolish by saying OTHER PEOPLE are stupid and incurious. @mobfant

  • My question about global warming/cooling/climate change is simple: What exactly is the temperature supposed to be?

  • I feel as though Europe is on the verge of Freedom:)

  • I love both these guyz BUT Robinson interrupted him a bit too often with his tirades disguised as questions. I genuinely wish he had let the humble and unassuming Delingpole develop his lines of argument more before cutting him off. He looks as if he doesn't go before the camera much and I was very interested in listening to him.

  • I would have taken Delingpole for a Ron Paul supporter....

  • Delingpole is just another British huckster trying to tap the massive American market for rightwing newspeak. The Right deserve better constructed arguments than this schlock.

  • @Morecake2 , exactly right.

  • Right on, James !!

  • Just once Robinson should let his guest make a point without interruption.

  • @Morecake2 So, you're saying that the EU is good and what people want? More war and big government is good and what people want? You're saying that the Euro is not a train wreck waiting to happen?

James does not deny global warming has occurred. He says that humans aren't a significant factor in it.

Christopher Hitchins was an establishment figure who supported the war on terrorism, the Iraq war (remember no WMDs after all?) and put down people who question the govt's story on 9/11.

  • Sloppy, inconsistent, illogical and fallacious. He offers Freud's kettle - global warming is good, but then says the assertions that it is happening are lies. He can't suggest the former without accepting the latter. He explains why humans tend to believe in doom-scenarios, and then offers his own. In a week in which the death of Christopher Hitchens has reminded us, just how good journalism can be, we are presented with this schlockmeister. As a Brit I blush at such pinchbeck.

  • I love how hardcore Delingpole is.

  • List a bunch of bad candidates and ignore Ron Paul. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

  • "Never believe a word you read in The Economist". True, very true.

  • @slugmandrew

Soooo true. Used to be a big fan. Then I realised just how bad their writing really is, and not just on economics.

  • google "kurzweil global warming" for the science of why global warming is not a problem.

also, get Dinesh D'souza on this program!!!!!!!
