  • Great spanky tone. I previously owned a Blues Junior and it didn't sound too good with a Les Paul-seemed to dislike humbuckers. Never tried it with single coils.

Now that I play a Tele (Baja) exclusively the Pro sounds like it was made for it. Nice demo and nice playing. Cheers.

  • Do you feel this amp is usable for small gigs and practice with band? Cheers.-

  • @peroncito Hi. Yeah that's exactly what it's for!! Perfect

  • Nice touch... !

about Made in Mexico.....Does anyone really think that the Corona Factory isn't staffed with 90% mexican builders?

I am sticking my my MIM Nashville Tele (Lollars added) --

Great sounding guitar and surprisingly good sounding Fender amp

  • @ghostblock1 Hi, thanks. What's surprising about a Pro Juniour sounding good?

  • Hey there, I was wondering how this amps sound on very low volumes. Is it usable as a practice amp with thin walls?

  • @SurfGreenStrato Yeah it sounds great at low volume. Obviously it gets dirtier the louder it gets but I can't fault this amp one bit!

  • @DAMASCUSMUSIC Cool! Thanks for the fast response to my question! And keep on rocking :D

  • this one made in USA or Mex ? sound great !

  • @foreverjimmy Made in Mexico mate. The key is just to replace the speaker and valves, oh and tighten every screw! Cheers

  • Sound better than any blues jr. good choice in speaker.

  • Great clip, fantastic playing!!!!!

  • excellent palying and sound , this vid answered a lot of questions for me, I am looking into a lower watt tube amp to try to get some crunch in small pubs and at home, best regards from Dublin

  • great tone/playing.

i never leave comments like this.

  • @takeittothemall Thanks mate. I was only fucking about! :-)

  • I put an Eminence Patriot Cannabis Rex 12" 50W Guitar Speaker with Hemp Cone in the cabinet. The little cabinet could not handle and not to mention the particle board sounds like dead junk. I built a pine cabinet and JJ 84s. This thing is stunning. I will get some live jam vids up some time. Great playing BTW. watch?v=VbN6ggZ6F0Q

  • It's always a dilemma whether to go with a Celestion in a Fender style amp. You gain a certain smoothness in the overdrive but you lose sparkle on clean tones.

  • I agree totally. Maybe the Jenson P10Q maybe the answer. I almost went for that.

  • Nice amp. Now just send me that Tele please.

  • @cyoteblues Ha, actually the tele was home built about 20 years ago, frets are pretty fucked, but the guitar isn't worth much really.

  • @DAMASCUSMUSIC Not worth much? forget money, that guitar sounds great. I have never heard such neck pup fluteyness lower down the neck like that before! hey mate, get the frets sorted, because you sing with that guitar.

    Its priceless for you.

  • @DAMASCUSMUSIC Remarkably good nick for a 20yo guitar. It must have a thick finish or you must have a very light touch. Very cool either way.

  • what tubes do you have in there? i have one with a greenback and i love the way yours sounds with tubes.

  • Hey! They're J.J Tessler. Got them from hotroxuk.co.uk Some of the beef comes from the 1952 re-issue Tele pick ups, they're pretty meaty. Bare Knuckle Pick Ups do a similar version,.

  • My stock Pro Junior sounds too trebly, too much highs and not much of a bottom end....I'm using a 62' custom tele with vintage pickups....any help here? i'd like some changes on my amp...speakers, tubes whatsoever...and i'd prefer if the amp breaks up at 3-4 so....

    Thanks!

  • First thing I would do it ditch the stock speaker, they're very 'toppy' and I'd suggest a Celestion of some description. I went for the Greenback, that cuts up early, giving a nice 60's blues sound. As for tubes, I changed mine to J,J Tesler, and that made a difference. I use mine at some smaller gigs but I usually disconnect the speaker and plug into a 1x12. This gives much greater bottom end for live shows. For rehearsals and home and so on the Greenback 10" is fantastic!

  • I tried a Weber vintage 10 worked real nice with my Tele.

  • This video is one of the biggest reasons why I chose the Pro Jr. as my latest amp. And it's also the main reason why I will be swapping to a G10 greenback as soon as I can. Awesome tone.

  • Hey, thanks for that man! It is an awesome amp. I swapped the original valves immediately, and the speaker, and the Greenback cuts up lovely, especially when the amp is cranked up. I also gigged it for a while through a 1x12 cabinet and that was cool. I've also got a Fender Hot Rod and extension cabinet...that's an awesome combo for bigger gigs, the extension cab makes all the difference.

  • far out that sounds good

  • Great job!!

  • goddamn nice guitar

  • geordie!

  • Greenbock?

  • nice... what kind of pickups do you have in the Tele ? The neck pu sounds like a Twisted Tele pu ...

  • @pat976 Sorry for the late reply. I built the guitar about 20 year ago, and copied the design from Springsteens, on the front of the Telecaster book. It was meant to be a 1952, so I bought and installed Fender 1952 re-issue pick ups. I don't use the neck pu much to be honest.

  • @pat976 Well I've been gigging Telecasters for 34 years now, and own three of them, as well as about another ten guitars, and the 52 re-issue bridge pick up is better than most after market jobs I've heard. It's wicked on stage. I use Bare Knuckle pick ups in my other Tele's, one of which is an esquire. I wouldn't butcher the 52 re-issue job. Cheers anyways..

  • @pat976 The wood is the soul of the guitar. Pickups are the mirror on that soul.

Putting a corvette engine in a typical car will only render a big mess no one wants to drive. The art of telecaster tone is in matching pickups with the guitar wood.

  • @musiccalgary Touché !!! You are right . I was just trying to make the point that a Lindy Fralin or Don Mare, or OC Duff ( insert your favorite boutique p/u maker name ) pickup is a serious improvement on the stock middle-of-the-road Fender machine wound ones. When I changed the bridge p/u in my 52 reissue to a Duncan Antiquity, I was floored ! More definition, more punch, more compression . that Keith Richards sound was hidden inside my guitar and SD brought it out . Sorry for poor metaphor.

  • Sweet playing man.

  • Great tone!

  • sweeet guitar dude! cant believe its home made!

  • Great sound..even changing the speaker and the valves is still cheap compared to other amps...so i think it's worth spending (I guess about) 220/230 dollars to turn it into a great amp!!! Think of the Champ (custom shop) that's so expensive...and what about all the other bigger fenders...if you like this sound go for it! I'll buy it probabily...

  • Was this the first speaker you tried in this amp? I am looking at up grading my pro jr, but the 10" greenbacks are over 125 dollars everwhere i have looked. you get a greak sound though!

  • try searching gabkits on google, they have the best deals for celestion speakers after you've made an account on there

  • sorry i could type as much cause youtube was refusing any comment with . c o m , anyways, i bought a celestion g10 greenback on gabkits, after you make an account, and it came out to be $106 total, got it for my marshall class 5, it sounds real sweet

  • Yeah Messed up which pick ups were which! And the vol and tone controls I was refering to were the amp settings, not the guitars! This was just messing about, nothing serious. It's a great amp though, and to anyone who's thinking of buying one, buy it and replace the valves and the speaker.

  • Great tone! Nice lil amp--you said neck pick up twice--I beleive you meant bridge then neck. Maybe I heard you wrong---nice stuff any way.

  • Sweet tone

  • Fucking awesome looking tele and even stellar playing mate

  • That sounds great. I was thinking of putting those speakers in my Dr. Z maz 18.

  • 5 stars from me you are excellent!

  • Thanks!

  • Tone to die for!!!

  • Love your style! You did a great job on that tele. Amazing tone.

  • That is the ultimate tone for many players! Including me, good job!

  • amazing tone. love the twang on the humbucker. I think you've convinced me on the 52 re-issue over the american deluxe.

  • I built this 52 re-ssue myself, so it's a hybrid really. But all Fender 52 re-issue parts and pick ups.

  • Awesome playing, even better sound.

What speaker would you reccomend for a better clean sound, more along the jazz lines?

  • perfect!

  • Perfect tone, man. Good job.

  • Thanks Buddy.

  • sounds great man, sweet playing;)

  • it really does sound good

  • Yeah the Greenback is a lot more meaty than the stock speaker. Breaks up nice. Sounds better still when the amp is full up at gigs.

  • i just got a blues jr yesterday. I put it in a dovetail pine cabinet. I like it at '12'. I dont think i could play it without it being up full. I think i'd like a celestion G12H-30 but the prices have gone up by about 20% since the recession. Webers are difficult to obtain here in the UK

  • Sounds good!
