  • What a beautiful beautiful device :)

Do you have photos of the process ? :)

But the sound...it makes me want to tear my hair out.

  • outstanding!

  • god the sound reminds me of a PASS device firemen wear

  • Looks like the Playmates one they had out years ago. Camera trickery made it look bigger than the half size they released. I'm skeptical...

  • That's no kit. Not all that accurate, but a very very nice job! Better than most of the props used on the show! How old is it?

  • Did you build this using the Roddenberry TOS Tricorder prop kit? If so, how did you get the sound effects and lights? I want to order a prop kit and build a tricorder for a friend of mine, but I don't think the Roddenberry kit comes with sounds effects and lights.

Also, how hard was it to build?

  • This Tricorder is sweet!

  • I think it's cool! You're very talented and very creative to make something like that, :) 5/5

  • You should put a video ipod in there for the screen

  • Yeah, like you were really going to do something important with that time anyway...

  • This explains why you spend your time on Youtube... hah.

  • your statement doesn't make any sense

  • Sure it does, you fool. If time were money, you wouldn't waste one second on this site complaining about 14 seconds of your life... fuck, man.

  • crazycrazyguggenheim.... you're a fucking moron. Nice tricorder.

  • Not bad. Needs a pull on the bottom door . . . I'd upgrade that strap too.

How did you make the hood, heat-formed sheet material or cast resin?

  • cool!
