A bit late, I know, but, a really, really good trick for making a very good Dalek voice is to talk into one of those big fans. Like, you know, the cooling fans, , the sort you get in offices or dentist waiting rooms etc, the rotating ones and the like. The tone, pitch, speed etc. is all down to you and your voice acting, but all the crackle noise etc. is done by the fan.

I hope you don't mind some constructive criticism. Daleks speak faster than the cliche robot. They have a constant short pause between each word and punctuate their sentences with a louder tone and slightly off-timing set of words.

thanks Janis, i tried the voice modulating software and that wasnt so good and the dalek voice change mask hadn't come out then. One day when the neighbours are away I might try a rerecord.

The daleks at their worst vocal moments (think 66-69) were easier to understand than these were.

Besides, the black dalek would have exterminated the coral one a lot sooner.

Nice idea--if you remake it though, make it shorter..bit long. Comedy skits work best in short bursts and...please think to use subtitles so everyone can uderstand you, or at least take the time to edit your work--it's too garbled sometimes

well the music was stock stuff from apple Garageband(which is the genuine apple theme).Two remote controlled Daleks, a voice childs voice changer (their is a proper Dalek one but I dont have it)and Imovie using teh over exposure filter to white out the background.

The good dalek voice can be achieved with a ring modulator. The one i use is called HOG something.

Ah...the issue of Dalek voice acting - blame it on Davros changing his voice three times himself!... as for the actors themselves, they came as a box set at christmas, one black one bronze- but point taken, I sorry that I was unable to live up to the traditionaly high quality special effects and production values that the original series had.
