Same here last min revision my 2nd attempt at this Nazi exam fingers crossed it all goes well. Good luck to everyone who is doing their Nazi exam tomorrow :)
Big problem was also that every party was able to enter the Reichstag. Today a party needs a minimum of 5% to enter the Bundestag. That mass of different parties made the whole government very unstable and gave Hitlers party the oppertunity to get more seats in very short time.
The victors of WW1 wanted to destroy germany by the versailles treaty and unaffordable reparations, and this was the major cause for Germany to start WW2.
The more you understand history, the more you know why the Germans did this, and suddenly they don't look like monsters anymore.
@Lintflas They still look like monsters from ww2 there was no reason to kill all the jews or any on else that was different. and whats worse it that millions of the german people were supporting adolf hitlers anti jew campain.
According to official sources (Britannica) 94% of the entire German nation did not participate in any genocides, and the majority of the Germans had no clue about Hitlers agenda to kill jews systematically. From the moment Hitler came to power, there was no way back, because he installed a dictatorship.
@Lintflas Props for understanding it and teaching an uneducated person what really happened instead of just saying "you don't know what your talking about just stfu"
thank you! I have my exam tomorrow and I've been reviewing for a few days now but being an auditory learner this is very helpful for me. Great idea, on repeating the points at the end.
Right. You've pointed out the sad reality. Weimar Germany's government considered the communists to be a greater threat to democracy than the fascists. A most unfortunate miscalculation.
A very-well made film, but you really need to check the status of democracy in Germany prior to the Great War. It was a democracy, but not a republic. In some ways it had a more democratic franchise than the UK, with one of the largest social-democrat party's in the world. The Reichstag was elected by popular vote.
@milanmaxwellvoykovic Popular vote in a three-tiered voting system without secret ballot. Let us not stray from the fact that Deutsches Reich was at its core hardly democratic.
@DasKammergericht Then we must be precise about 'democratic' means, and its historical context. It was only after WW1 that most of Europe became fully democratic. Not being democratic to its core doesn't mean it wasn't democratic at all. If Germany wasn't democratic at all, neither were France, UK or USA. Democracy is not and was not then an absolute term. The ballot wasn't secret, but this didn't prevent the social democrats from being the largest party in the Reichstag, did it?
Also, I believe Germany paid off the principle to the US in the 1980s. They're still paying interest though, and isn't interest impossible to pay off?
thankz for the video. was a fun way to revise, i tend to stick to lists as thats what works but i like variety. though i will be tempted to write the kaiser legged it.
For got to mention the death of Gustav Stresemann in 1929. The man was a genius. If he had lived another ten years Hitler would have never come to power.
history is always the story of the most agressive killers and winners. There was the revolution to stop the war and throw away the Kaiser. That brought up the weimar republic. It was mainly the 500 million Antibolschewistenfond (10th Jan. 1919) of the German capitalists that founded the military killing of the socialist leaders and the Raeterepublik and than creating the nazis as opposition to the left.
Awesome. Although, if I can make some constructive criticism; when you show pictures of people, I think it would behelpful to put their names on it somewhere. Aside from the fact that a lot of them are kinda difficult to spell, it really helps it stick in the mind.
Thank you so much

I refuse what Germans did in WW2, but Versailles was a shame, Germany deserved to keep the whole territory.

Yes,I agree, the French were and still are responsible for the overwhelming majority of the Problems of Europe.
They were also the impetus behind the concentration and extermination camps of world war two.
