S video is better qualiyty than compsosite. Play are selling off a scart plus leads for 2.99. It works good for me, nearly as good as a dedicated recorder. 5-10% CPU on a std mpeg2 720x576 capture. However I really wanted it to capture in xvid but it captures always in mpeg2 then converts to your chosen format. Warning.

Ok, so atm my xbox360 in plugged in with HDMI plug. But how do i change it so i can play in AV? When I go to settings and click 480p it still stays on the HD TV channel but the quality is bad and when I try to record with my capture card there is just a blank screen because its on the wrong channel.

if you have an HDTV with an HDMI wire plugged in to ur xbox 360, would u still need all those wires? what wires do u need if u have HDMI?

you cant use the hdmi when recording but you can still use the composite cables for HD put them in your TV as normal and at least you can play in HD while you record, after you can render in sony vegas and get better quality out of the video file

I can capture my video and audio fine using the Cyberlink PowerProducer, but when i save it it only gives me the option to save it as a ppp. file, which is not a video file. So does anyone have an idea on how to convert it to a video file?

ok instead of using powerproducer i would use Cyberlink PowerDirector... and instead of clicking "save" go to the tab "produce" and it is very self explanitory from there. click "create a file" then choose your video type and click produce and in a few moments you will have your video!

that black lead is an s-video cable u dont need to use that

Hey yeah all you need to do is turn down the input volume on the software your using, for example windows movie maker when you clip capture from device or whatever just turn the input volume down
