  • The Teddy Wilson-Billie Holiday version was (probably) recorded with ONE microphone, no limiters or any other such bullshine.

    I can't get over how today every single part of a drum kit needs a microphone; what nonsense.

    The more the technology intercedes, the lousier the music must be; Norah Jones doesn't go for this crap when she records, for example.

  • This clip is from a 1982 concert in Canada... the entire concert is available on DVD under the title "Crystal Gayle In Concert". Crystal has a full tour schedule and many of her fans are planning to see her perform in Las Vegas February 12-14, 2010.
