Also consider Abel's animal sacrifices. God doesn't accept unclean animals. and Abel was a keeper of sheep for a reason, not pigs...

Clearly SALVATION is not by works of God's Law, but by grace, through faith...we know this, but make no mistake about it, the law is eternal and has not been abolished.

Besides, "The Law of Moses" was given BY God TO Moses and the TEN by God's finger.

This has nothing to do with salvation at all but yes we are to trust God's guidelines on what IS food and what IS NOT food, just as we we'd trust the manufacturer of our car to tell us what fuel and fluids to use in it. He is our Creator. We can not eat what dogs and buzzards eat, and everything is NOT good for us, like poison for instance.

A fireman reported that burning bodies smell like bacon or pork ...and in disgust their stomachs would growl without their consent.

Ah yes. I'm glad you decided to use a knife and cut up the "meat" a little here. Maybe even dip it in some "milk" too for easier digestion. I think this will be much easier to take one point at a time. I mean it isn't hard to see the physical, real scientific reasons, if one takes a look at the pig's digestive system for one or even the fact that they can't sweat out toxins...yigh.

God's Law is holy, just, and forever. And for our benefit too! Yah Bless brother!

We are SAVED by grace, through faith and NOT of works of God's Law and that is FINAL!

BUT that does not mean the Law is abolished. The Law is NOT *FOR* Salvation.

In Matthew 5, this is WHY Jesus said the Law will not pass until heaven and earth pass away.

Is the earth still here? Yes it is and so are the heavens.

He said don't think he came to destroy the Law of God.

This is why Paul said "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." in Romans 3:31

that certain animals shouldn´t be eaten (unclean) , there are strong reasons to not eating them, i will not doubt that healt is affected positively with not eating them.

I think that there that is not sin eating pig but we should be carefull that a baby in the faith (probably i´m one =p) might stumble.

It is a self centered point of view that demands everything is about or SALVATION.

God, through Paul explains SALVATION is by grace, through faith and NOT of works of God's Law, PERIOD.

That is final.

Then Paul writes, "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

God's Law and God's Grace are separate issues.

The food Laws are for your body, not eternal life.

@vudumojo Oh so i´m sorry, it was my confusion. Indeed the clean animals flesh will produce good result on our health and i would say; perhaprs on the spiritual level also. It wasn´t by chance that God imputed that Law to the israelites.

@MagnusShaman ...and also, I agree 100% that in regard to God's Law and *babes in the faith* or even potential converts! ...we shouldn't dwell on these finer details of God's Word. This is strong MEAT.

SALVATION and repentance is the milk, but most believers never move on and grow beyond the milk, and everything to them from now on is about getting to heaven/being saved. They believe this is the whole point, when it's only the beginning, the sweet milk of babes in Christ, not the meat of adults

Everything else in the Bible is God's Guide to KEEP US alive and stay on course so We'll be able to Witness & also be a Example for other Newcomer Christians! Being Born again without "WORKS" is a Free License to "SIN".."NO" SALVATION is WITHOUT "WORKS" because we all come from different Circumstances!!! I´m reading now precisely the Book of Deuteronomy and that part of clean an unclean animals, interesting.

There is no sin with eating pig (that was applied to the Nation of Israel), we are not under the Law but under the grace. If we consider that only the moral Law is applied to the gentiles the choice of eating pig for example isn´t sin (if we do it for the glory of God) HOWEVER we must consider God´s wisdom, if God said ...

@SEK4110 Absolutely, if we stick to the instructions given to us, of course we will be much healthier and suffer far less illness and disease. The body is an amazing healer and will virtually not allow disease if it is operating properly. Modern medicine heals nothing, it simple gets the body to *do what IT does* which God already designed it to do.
