I like Perez Hilton & I like his Web site too, but sometimes he can get a bit overboard. I agree with a lot of things Perez says but there are also a lot of things he says that I disagree with. I think Perez is starting to mature more these days. You can tell when you read through his blogs. He doesn't bash people as bad as he used to.

Perez's website use to be good, but now he has staff that writes for him and is always late on stories. His website barely gets hits anymore or comments and they are usually hater comments. He sucks.

I wouldn't say the beating was "acceptable", but definitely deserved. As a gay person, I feel that he gives the GLBT community a bad name, and is, in short, a total bitch. There is no kindness in anything he does, and he's incredibly hypocritical and self-serving.

I'm just saying that I'm not surprised he got smacked, and I don't feel all that sorry for him. It sucks that he got hurt, but whatever, he was acting like a jerk. I really think that the term "beaten" is a little much, as well, since he was struck once. He was cursing at and insulting people, so someone hit him. That's really all there is to it.

I would describe it more as sarcastic than ambiguous. Violence is unacceptable and should never be rewarded in any manner, even a comment on YouTube. You wouldn't want someone to say/write that you deserved to be assaulted, would you? I should qualify this by writing that I do not like what he does, but that should only affirm my position. What is kindness (or even compassion) when we only dole it out on those whom we feel are deserving? May nothing like that ever happen to you. Peace.

If I had been acting like he was, I would've expected to be punched. Heck, if I'd been acting like he was, I'd be surprised if I didn't get assaulted!

Although, you are right in saying violence shouldn't be rewarded.

I think my message was misconstrued. I wasn't that I WANTED him to be hurt, and I wouldn't hurt him myself, but I'm just not surprised it happened, and I don't really feel sorry for him, because he was verbally assaulting people.
