this video series is awesome. it's helping me as i do my own bathroom renovation. i have very limited experience with tools but lots of diy-energy (aka stupidity :) ) thanks!
Great project and excellent work documenting it all. I'm retiling around a tub over the holidays and enjoyed your videos for a little motivation. BTW, I hate plumbing too :-)
Wow this is great! I've got to do the same thing pretty soon and you posting the vid making my confidence go up. My house was built in 1977, both bathrooms look a lot like that, have the same sink, even the same color! But it's the shower and toilet area that need to go over here, sinks good enough. Anyway, thanks for showing! I'm going to finish watching the rest later.
Really wasn't that much, just got the tiles warm. A few started turning black and blistered a little, but still not much smell. In that particular room the tiles were stuck tight to the plywood subfloor and even with a scraper they were coming up in chunks the size of a quarter until I started heating them. I guess I could have done the same thing with a heat gun, but all I had was my plumbing torch. Instead of quarter sized chunks they came up as whole tiles.
have a lot of vids to catch up on with ya....just spent the day sorting ceramics and packing them...so much more to do ..have fishing license and have not gone yet
LOLOL...I was reaching for the camera. My side was digging into the cabinet. This poor ass program wouldn't get rid of that without loosing 2 secs of video after that. Did you get your destruct fix on the top? Thats about as rough as I got! Sorry.
More clips. I worked all day today. Its now 6:19pm and I'm stopping for diner. Then I have 1 wall to rebuild, 2 pieces only. After that, I have to do wall braces and by The forth day I'll be putting my new tub in. I'll probably start to run behind on vids. Hopefully I'll do 1 a day.

Last time I pulled vinyl tiles up I used a torch and carefully heated the glue up, they came up just fine...
