  • What an incredible mix. We need more of this kinda stuff!

Brilliant energy and great songs.. This music is out there!!!!

  • to be honest im glad that this kind of music isn't famous, it's our little secret ; ]

  • The bassist is camera shy and wayyy in the backround

  • Jason Statham on the congas

  • Honestly, this whole rendition is quite lame, compared to the original version by James Blood Ulmer. Its here on youtube

  • @firebeforeice

    good joke ;-)

  • music speaks louder than words

  • 1:53 sooo goood

  • Where's Morpheus?

  • Can you imagine how great life would be if this kind of music was in the charts instead of shit vocally enhanced 'beiber-style' shit!

  • i am from uruguay, i now this music long time a go, and never boring, no se si se entiende....... he, aguante los torsos!

  • damn straight.

  • Why cant they release on new album already!?

  • Why cant they release on new album already!?

  • Oh my fuckin' Gosh! Can you imagine jamming with these guys!?

  • Dam these guys are great!!

  • I love their energy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • MASTERS!!!!! all of u!

  • @ivandlarioja12 thanks.

  • Do I hear a little Zappa style here? Me likes it.

  • i dig the playing on SHT's stuff but am underwhelmed with the compositions. great pyro tho.

  • funk rules! this band is a monster!!!!

  • why the fuck that goddamned cameraman doesn't frame the BASSIST!?!?!?!?! shit..he's doing amazing things

  • @bRaKK0

    cuz the cameraman's a dumbass

  • @bRaKK0 When you see him, he is way back in the shadows. If the cameraman had filmed him we would'nt see much. The question as to why he's standing there is another story ...

  • pocket is immaculate. yes!

  • yeah baby!!!!

  • singer is a goddamn monster! and the fuze is totally out of the box, but he still makes sense. dope

  • YEAH! FIMA is ROCKIN' IT!

  • e o e. e o e. e o e o.

  • This is awesome, I've just heard 3 songs of this band cuz one friend recommend them to me 2 hrs ago and am already a fan!!!!!!!!!

  • one is a drummer the other is a conga/percussionist. with mics and some plugs, it don't matter.

  • Haha, they're so funky. I live in Western Australia and it's really hard to find any of their stuff here, which is a shame, they're actually my favourite band.

  • Cool, a semantics fight, I love these. This was fun, we'll have to do it again sometime.

  • No, that's a pretty good answer, considering that they did. I guess "David Fiuczynski" -if you want to get technical.

  • Screaming Headless Torsos

  • Screw u, I respected u two n ur opinions so know what? I dont care this conversation anymore.

  • The bass player belongs where the percussionist is. The percussionist belongs on the guest list. Try singing this with two drummers between you and the bass player. For a live recording. The word is attrition. The singer is getting killed. So is the music.

  • You're square as fuck.

  • true dat!

  • Um.... what?

  • Look it up.

  • I know what it means, I just don't know why you agree that you're "Square as fuck."

  • Because you probably don't know about Undine Smith Moore, or Coleridge Tayler Perkinson, or Roland Hayes, or Nathaniel Dett, or Moses Hogan, or The Caravans, or Clara Ward, or Charles Albert Tindley, or Thomas Andrew Dorsey.

So I just consider the source.

And BTW, thanks for watching. :)

  • I do, but what do they people have anything to do with you being Square? YOU are the only person who has to do with you being Square. Maybe I'm not being clear. Do you know what Square is?

    Whatever man.

  • At this rate, by conservative estimate, it will take me a whole month to explain it to you. "Whatever, man" is not a complete sentence. But as always, thanks for watching.

  • Damn man, arts are subjective, so every way of making arts is valuable in its own way. Well that's just my opinion, but I agree with "Saxyman14", you're square as fuck.

Excuse me if I have spelling mistakes, Im Spanish.

  • I feel sorry for the bassist, you can hardly hear him.

  • Or see him. He's where the percussionist should be.

  • yeah i'd probably be really into this band if their bass was louder

  • How come you can't hear the bass?

  • Two drummers and a barely noticeable bass player. Any surprise the guitar player is the leader?

  • I'm not sure, all the other instruments seem to completely drown it out.

  • The bass is drowned out mostly cause its a live version bass is never as loud live....dont know why but its not

  • probably your speakers(?)

  • Really? I can hear him very well. He has a frequency range all to himself. It's easy to hear him when he slaps, but I still don't find it difficult to hear him at all other times. Just because he's not physically or melodically in the foreground doesn't mean he's too quiet, it just means he's holding the low end down. (Then again I'm a bassist, and I suppose I'm used to listening for this). At any rate, I think the levels are very good.

  • i miss dean bowman, they have 2 new singers that replaced him

  • one of the best guitar solo played by dave fuze!

  • The role of the percussionist is to provide rhythmic accompaniment. It's really simple actually.

  • Then why have a drummer too?

  • It's a texture thing. You want to have every band have the same instrumentation. Maybe we should just all play the same songs. Hey, why even have bands? We have MIDI now, lets just use that.

  • I'm not opposed to it. Why have a band at all if the guitar player hires a percussionist to drown out the singer and hide the bass player?

  • Because that leads to standardized music... which is an oxymoron. The percussionist doesn't drown out the singer at all. The voice is just an instrument. It doesn't get special treatment just because it is what it is. You've been conditioned to think in a very conventional way apparently. It's time to break that for your own sake as a listener.

  • He does drown out the singer if YOU are the singer standing right next to the percussionist.

  • If you're the singer, you should know that you are there as part of a group and you aren't a solo act.

But I'm done arguing with you. Nothing is getting through to you and you're just saying the same things multiple times. You'd be a terrible improviser with that philosophy.

  • The video is proof of the opposite of what you say. I'm not complaining in the video. Just singing with two drummers between me and the bass player.

  • I wish they would give some shots of the bassist instead of focusing completely on the guitarist drummer and vocals

  • freakishly awesome band!

  • Everytime I watch this vid I flip out! Great show!

  • I hope some day I can play as good as Fuze...

  • jazz is a teacher, funk is a preacher & FUZE IS GOD!!!!!!!
