Very nice find! Works very nicely, and I like that external speaker. I have the same Califone record player, but the blue version. I had to put in a new speaker, as the previous owner had removed the original. I got it along with the Califone reel-to-reel.
Interesting isn't it when you come across something that is MINT condition, makes you wonder why it sat untouched for so many years. Nice find ! The instant start is terrific, almost Radio station quality pausing dare I say...

Looks like a nice set,in very good condition,and built,if it was for school use,like a tank.Like our old Coomber or Goodsells were.
