Pulling the motor board suspension springs or simply clamping it down seems to be a common trait. I wonder though if a denser foam (in the spring ) is required than Garrard ever used. The best suspension is a 16" bicycle inner tube (DJ trick).
@TheBeebopper You might be able to place an O-ring above, but there does not seem to be any room for one on the bottom. I replaced the race with teflon, and used smaller bearings. This made it quiet. Thanks for your comments.

Fix for Garrard rumble is an o-ring above and below the disc bearing. Actually one thick one underneath may be almost as good.
