  • Its turned out fine I dont get what any of your guys problems are. She might like her sushi filled with flavour and for her not to speak freely about how she feels is sad. It is so sad to see your comments. It really reflects on your negative attitutes towards peoples love of food.

  • All wrong, you should have filled the nori 3/4 full of rice, and you were patting it down too hard, the rice will end up crushed. You should also let the mat roll the sushi, you dont press it with your hands.

  • Real sushi is made with vinegar rice or water, so it actually keeps your hands very clean, plus you would have hopefully have washed your hands first.

  • @VgManiac Altho ur a bit harsh ur completely right, the rice is overcooked and u need to handle it lightly, not squshing it down, her sushi will be heavy and gooey instead of light and porous to easily absorb Soy sauce

  • don't use too much water or you'll just ruin the flaver of the ric. Hence sushi = "sweetened vinegar rice"

  • This was the WORST sushi rolling technique I have ever seen in my life! Even if you have never rolled sushi, you should look at this video and KNOW it's wrong. Who has ever seen sushi with the rice on one side of the roll. And the ingredients used where TOO BIG! Rule of thumb is to have 3 fillings MAX and cut them THIN. This was just horrible.

  • @HikariHime29 this is really late. but then again not many comments are left here. you shouldnt speak unless you know what your talking about. yes, she should have used more rice, but you are supposed to only put the rice on one side, or it wont roll correctly, and will fall apart.

    I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I have been rolling my own sushi my entire life! So it's YOU who shouldn't speak due to lack of brain. PERIOD.

    Yes, you put the rice on one side, but "one side" doesn't mean a 1 inch wide pathetic strip of rice. You put enough rice to COVER one side, but leave enough UNCOVERED with rice so when the sushi is rolled, there is an end point.

    If this is how YOU roll your sushi... congrats... you're an idiot. Thanks

  • some people like it this way, some people like it that. you have to experiment and see what you like, but this is a good starter

  • You need to cut 1/3 of the nori off, spread the rice more evenly over 5/6th of the nori, use the mat instead of your hands, and press the rice at the end of the roll to keep it together. Those are just some tips to make you better. I enjoy seeing how more people make their own sushi at home. It is very expensive at sushi resturaunts;especially since the ingredients are so inexpensive. Please make sure to use short-grained rice!!! Long-grained rice does not have the starch you need.

  • i've watched enough sushi videos (both asian made and american made) and i've seen some people use the whole nori (even with a japanese woman rolling it)- so, it doesn't take a genius to realize there is more than one way to make sushi. obviously some people create them with more finesse than others.

    my main problem with this video is: who was holding the camera?! either learn how to hold it steady and/or learn to make a smoother pans; or put it on a tripod and leave it alone.

  • once you got the rice on the nori, you flip it over so the rice is at the top, That's how you make RIGHT sushi, And next time.. You shouldn't use the whole strip of the nori..
