it's funny how some people view Square's games as "overhyped," when they spend so much time making them. Sure, some games take longer (The Last Guardian, that hasn't come out yet and the first trailer was shown in 2009), but this game was well worth the wait.
Now THIS is the KH II Trailer that I really like, because after you see the title, you then see Sora, Donald and Goofy who see the audience that are watching.
It has nothing to do with the English version. Those were just early stages. And none of that was in FM+ either, I have it myself and everything added was just new stuff or things they only WANTED(never showed to be in) like the Roxas fight(which wasn't in due to disk space which they managed to compress in FM+).
@Visonu From what I know, Nomura planned to release KHII with no CoM, and let the players uncover what happened during those events by playing KHII, though at one point he realized he wouldn't be able to pull it off without it being far too confusing, so they developed CoM to fill in the gap and answer questions before KHII came out.
@EpicOdysseus I just realised. They were announced together at TGS 2003. Apparently Nomura had, by then, made the decision to develop both CoM and KHII.
But I asked if KH2 was announced before or after the ORIGINAL CoM for the Game Boy Advance was released, not Re:CoM. Everyone knows that Re:CoM came with KH2FM, WAY after KH2.
True, but it was announced alongside 358/2 Days and coded, which occupied fans' minds for the time being. Days has only just been released in USA and Europe, and it's now a few months until BBS in Japan. This time they did it a little better, I'd say.
But I'm not sure if this was announced before or after CoM was released.
Back in my naive days I thought that Organization XIII member about to remove his hood was Riku. Thats what my friends said too. I'm sure now it would've been Xemnas. It seemed like that point in the trailer.
Man, can't believe all those things that does not appear on the game!, including the end of the trailer, that part sure was funny. And how weird to to watch this after all this time!
omg,at kh1 when I played with sora,i was thinking ´´heh,nice kid`` but when I first saw him on the trailer for kh2 i said ´´wow,he looks damn hot!`` xD
wow I remember, the first time I saw roxas was at the ending of kh chain of memories, but I didnt know his name, thus, seeing him in this game got me thinking...
The first trailer and the trailer is not the same as the game :D

The original CoM for the GBA was released in 2004, and KH2 was released in 2005.
But what I'm asking is whether or not KH2 was ANNOUNCED before or after CoM for the GBA began development. THAT'S what I'd like to know.

KH2 was announced way to early, I'd say. KH 358/2 Days was only announced a few months before it was released.
And there were quite a few scenes that weren't in the game, not even from the Final Mix version.
