Abortion, if not a health threat to mothers, is sheer murder. Elective abortion due to heath risk is understandable. But abortion that is performed just because it's unplanned is murder and stupid. Those mothers should face the consequence of their folly. Obama, as president, should have known that basic fact of life.

It isn't that people aren't listening to Bishops say about morality it's that Bishops aren't really saying anything about morality they have lost all their courage due to the sins of a few men Ministers and Pastors in other Christian faiths have a higher rate of abuse but they are not held accountable in the same way Just like there is a double standard for Rs and Ds in the media It's funny how we are all supposed to be tolerant except when it comes to anything concerning Conservatism

I agree with you. Our Bishops (USCCB) need to start being our spiritual leaders and lead the Pastors in the right direction. They must have courage to speak out and be obedient to the Holy Father. The Pope is infallible not the bishops. My family is no longer donating to the USCCB and sending our money straight to Rome.

As an American of Colombian origin, I am getting tired of the Obama supporters always bringing racism because The Church and I oppose Obama. He is not qualified to be president. He supports infanticide, supports FOCA which will force Catholic Hospitals to perform abortion or face penalties and jail. Both church and state overlap over human life. When a law denies human rights, as in slavery and abortion, it is the duty of citizens to speak up about the wrong as it is the duty to elect officials who will not vote in favor of murder and the like.

All politicians are Pro-Choice, but some just claim to be Pro-Life during election times. John McCain did not want to repeal Roe vs. Wade until this September. His wife did not even receive that memo before she did an interview with Katie Couric! I am also questioning why the attacks from you Catholic bishops are so strong against Obama when you didn't attack Kerry, Clinton, or Gore quite so adamantly?? Obama is not pro-abortion, no one is! I do not agree with a clergyman e-mailing and creating a YouTube video to bully all Catholics. You prefer that we vote for war?? Because once babies are born, it is okay to kill them...especially if they are foreign?? You prefer that we vote for the party that time and time again supports bigotry, greed, and violence?? Those who attend Church weekly are more likely to vote for a prolife candidate. (EWTN) Many Christians do not subscribe to fundamental Christian values or even natural law. They only accept the easy NICE Gospel and not any demanding commandments. Defending the culture of life and the dignity of every human person is proving to demand more integrity than half of those who call themselves Christians seem to have. Or maybe it is possible that they are simply invincibly ignorant?

One would think that the US bishops could speak so clearly as a body as does bishop in this ad. What has prevented the USCCB from speaking clearly? Are we living back in the days of the 'reforming protestors' each claiming to hear and teach what the Holy Spirit inspires, each claiming different views?
