Are we really behind in aircraft? Or does or nation just keep some secret from the general public? The F117 first flew in 81 then went into service in 83 and wasn't public until 88. Can never tell what we really have.

I assume you are referring to the "SR-71" Blackbird, which was NOT a bomber. It was a Search and Reconnaissance plane (Hints: SR, no B)

The F-22 is NOT the most maneuverable plane. Check out the SU-37. The only things that makes the F-22 better than enemy aircraft are its Radar and AIM-120, which the Super Hornet can match.

The idea of canceling the F-22 project was though up far before Obama took office. That is coming from the Secretary of Defense. (A Bush appointee)

Besides, there is no reason to continue to build F-22's. They were developed to fight the Russians during the Cold War, which has long since ended.

They are pretty ineffective for the War on Terrorism and have seen few, if any, combat missions since coming on line.

And really, "dickface" can can come up with something better than that, cant you?
