only reason the case was so "high-profiled" was because it was a rich, white girl. The entire thing was BS. First of all girls do NOT go missing often in Aruba, in fact ,its unheard of on the island for anybody to go missing. No they did not follow them ofcourse. It is all investigated and filed in the official police documents. Everybody knows that.
Every time the police wanted to investigate the Twitty's (it's normal in a homicide/missing case to check the family too, even in the US) they were personally threatened by members of the FBI.
If the Twitty's really wanted to get the truth out they would be ofcourse much more helpfull to solve the missing girl case.

This shows it's only just a movie. Not a documentary. Beth never cried on her knees at a cemetary in broad daylight.
Beth Reynolds (fka Twitty) did really go there, but it was late at night and very dark because there were no lights on. It's all in the policefiles. The cabdriver had to even switch of his lights. Why?
When Beth & Jug came back out of the dark they were all laughing and gigling.
Someone has been paid over there. Next day the MedPlane came in. To get Natalee. Coincidence?

I practically cried when I saw the mom crying and praying on the cross. It makes me sad. Not just for her, but for all moms out there who have a missing son/daughter/loved one. I pray they find her, dead or alive!!

only reason the case was so "high-profiled" was because it was a rich, white girl. Not really any major stories in 2005 so obviously this was a good one for media. the way it played out made the story even better with the whole vandersloot lies and the guy who befriended him to get the real story. the family is making money off the movie, its on lifetime. the rich family most likely financed the movie to make more people aware of this type of situation.

will this movie have Peter R de Vries in it? because to me he is the one true hero in this entire stroy, they could portrait him like a combination of Jack Bauer and Michael Scofield, only more badass. I meen he fought against the top of many crime syndicates in Holland. And they could include his apearance with Joran in the Pauw and Witteman Show as their ultimate confrontation, you know when Joran threw whine in the face of Peter. That would be awesome!!

Why don't they make a movie about the thousands of people lost and never found each day in the US ?!?! This is ridiculous!! Everybody that really knows Aruba , know that Aruba isn't a place that they kidnap girls or something. It's very peacefull. And people who say " I'll not go to Aruba because crimes happens all the time there" is really stupid. If it was like that , maybe nobody should live in the US.

Because, davelacle, it happened in a fogien country. Not in the U.S besides this woman lost her daughter, who was supposed to be having the time of her life in Aruba, beatuiful island paridise. Would you want your child to travel internatinal, knowing the dangers that are out there? Trafficking, terriost. Think about the pain that this mother is going through, Unlike other mothers, Natalee may have been sold to a human trafficing crime lord in Aruba.
