yes its all true. No secret there. search on youtube to find out how to rip DVDs into MP4 format. Each movie afterwards would be around 500MB to 900MB depending on sound quality and size.

actually ipods are designed exclusively to suit each persons needs...ppl who need a lot of music and videos use the ipod classic. ppl like u and me who love new tech and do not need so much space for storage use the touch.

You forget peoples media library is going to increase not decrease!

My musical taste goes from the 70s to present in all different genres from pop to dance to hard house to accoustic to heavy metal. Love listening to music wether it be at home, car or at work.

But apart from music collection you need the space for video, its nice to be able to watch a comedy series on your lunch break at work.

if i have 30 songs on my PC then sync an ipod, the ipod will then have 30 songs on it yes?, but then if i delete 3 songs and then sync it again will there only be 27 songs on the ipod? You can manually add songs to your ipod if you want (not automatically). Then if you delete 3 songs from you pc there will still be 30 songs on your ipod.

I dont have ipod personally but i have read this.

Download videos or movie files from the internet or Limewire, then encode to .mp4 them using 3GP Converter, this program automatically transfers the vidoes to itunes and then you have to sync your ipod (or add files manually) via the computer. Or, if thats too complicated, download .mp4 videos from Limewire (not as much choice though) and manually add them to your itunes library. Hope I helped :)

In response to landenkiksass360, the right side of the screen just has a picture of notes to signify that you have selected Music, before you put anything on it. The other tabs have different motifs also (like Video and Photos).

I think the cover flow thing SUCKS.

whats with the music i wana shoot myself,cover flow is cool but kinda pointless when you think about it. i wish they would of kept with the glossy front instead of the brushed metal, but it still looks pretty good the interface looks alot better too, i wish the touch had at least 20gb id rather have it a little bigger and shorter battery life if it had bigger memory.

The hardrive is very slow to deal with the iPod touch and also it will drain the battery faster than a flash memory would. I guess in four years you'll get ur iPod touch (if it lasts like the iPod video) with a flash memory in a capacity of more that 64gb (they already produced big capacity flash memory but the their size is very big compared to the HD and their cost is much higher)

So you just need to live with the HD now until new storing technology comes in
