M3 E36 3.0 with Carbon-Airbox (to loud for the bad camera...)

Hey rotex. I love the sound of the s50b30 compared to the 32. I was wandering if you could take some more video of this car while driving and from further away (so the camera can capture the sound fully) . It seems most airbox videos are for the s50b32. Thanks :)

hey :-) we remove the airbox, the airbox is sold, it was on to less efect :-/

Can only euro s52's run with this carbon air box? Is there one for US s52? Also what is alpha n?

@Scope951 Euro engines have the S50 code, not S52. Only ITB engines can be run with an intake like this. The US model doesn't have ITB's. Alpha/N is a chip which regulates the fuel delivery based on revs per minute and throttle opening. With Alpha/N you don't need a MAF.

So other than making the inside look nicer and making the car lighter does this effect your car in any other way? better performance?

really dude, dryer duct for your air intake? wow, I wouldn't expect this from a BMW owner

@bpoolman2003 He's probably checking that ducting will fit, as you can see, no bumper is on there yet. Dryer ducting may not look pretty, but it's just as good as the alternatives you'll get at a racing shop, except for the looks. For his purposes, it's not so bad. :)
