He died doing something he loved. Motorsport was his life, and he was the best at what he did. There hasn't been a death in F1 since, and there wasn't a death before this for atleast a decade. You're comment is absolutely pointless, you obviously do not understand motorsport.
@robertgift Motorsport isn't a sport? Hmm... It's kind of in the name but m'kay...
I'm guessing you haven't watched an F1 race before, but it is extremely for a death to occur. For example: Mark Webber last year ran into the back of a fellow racer, going airbourne at close to 200mph. He flips, lands hard and flies into a wall. Is he injured? No. He simply walks out of his car, and gives a thumbs up to the camera 10 minutes later. Even if it wasn't safe, the racers would still be out there.
@TeamLotusGT5 A real sport is using one's muscles, not engines and fuels. Yes, these cars are better than ever, and improving. Webber was lucky. Just a few inches and he would have been dead. Sorry about: Dale Earnhardt Sonny Easley Robert Grosvenor, 5th Baron Ebury Ed Elisian Harry Endicott Sébastien Enjolras Richie Evans
@robertgift "A real sport is using one's muscles" What, you think driving a car around a corner at 200mph is easy on the body? F1 drivers are some of the fittest sportsmen in the world. The amount of G-force their bodies are having to deal with is unbelievable. Also, Webbers survival had nothing to do with luck. A few inches towards what? Please elaborate? And just for the record, you don't seem very sorry for the deaths of those people. You just seem here to try and make drivers look idiots.
@TeamLotusGT5 Yes. A real sport is using one's muscles, not engines and fuels.
Their bodies do endure G-forces and such driving is physically taxing. Still nothe same as an athlete.
Sorry for any death. I have seen more of it than anyone. But not as sorry for someone who sets themselves up for death. Died to be FIRST. Wow! What an important goal.
@robertgift No, Formula 1 drivers have to be extremely fit. It's not just physically taxing, any 'normal' person wouldn't last 5 laps without being drained. It's not just dying to be 1st, wow you are ignorant. You think they wanted to die? They are doing something that they are seriously passionate about, something they are good at.
you can see from top cam, from shumi car that the car hits the floor when go forward, between 2, 3 sec, at 300 kmh a hit can make you loose the control easy, i can just remember when i was 4 crying a lot when iknew he died..
It was not a human error, nor a mechanical error. It was a combination of both. To be able to push through the corners more the tire pressure was lowered. This impacted the ride height of the car. The active suspension of the car let it bottom out a few times. Because he took a slightly different line, 40 cm's off or something, he got onto a small bump. This bump bottomed out the car and the so important grip was lost for a millisecond or so because it was skidding. This was enough..
that other guy who stoled this video he said he died from a gunshot. he died from a mechanical problem in the car and he tried to do everyhing but he couldnt
@kgr00 Ah ok Then if you can beat Senna Try to beat he with the Steering Colum Broken. Get broken cuz the replaced the Steering Colum (Qualify 22mm Race 15-14mm) Senna, Villeneuve Still in our Hearts and Our Minds
No man can question the skill and bravery involved in f1 racing. No man can question that Ayrton Senna did his driving with a certain style and grace that one can only wish to emulate.
He simply was one of if not the best driver to race in formula one, not only that but he had genuine concern for his fellow professionals, traits that confirm the man as the legend. The very least we owe him is our respect, yes he knew the risks, and that is all the more reason to show him our respect.
@iziahlights Perhaps. But he made a fatal mistake, one that was caused by being too confident. People following him through Tamburello saw him scrape the bottom of his car in the two preceding laps, so he well knew he was pushing on the door of disaster. Sorry, Senna - you pushed too hard once too often...
@leogatobhzte Thats not true -..-'' Senna asked on Qualify to Change something in car cuz was too low then and something other... when they was doing steer, Williams's mechanics have mounted manually and not with some machine... then After 7 laps its get broke... BUT ITS NOT BLAME OF FRANK WILLIAMS
There was nothing wrong with Senna's car. Just an unfortunate series of events.... Pace car early on meant slow running, which meant low tyre temp, which meant low tyre pressure, which meant lowered right height. As such the car bottomed out which meant 1) It lost downforce due to the loss of airflow under the car and 2) It was sitting on the metal runners under the car. This meant he could not turn in when he needed to...... Your consiracy theories are an isult. You should be ashamed.
@sixstringslinger85 suggest you read the Antonio Costanzo report (that was the judge who headed up the inquest and trial that lasted nearly 4 years) to find out what happened.
The accepted version of events from that trial is that the steering column broke and caused the loss of control, while a piece of the suspension which flew off during the crash made contact with Senna's helmet and killed him. Williams disputed the steering column fault.
So sad, you can see him struggling to turn the car left, we now know a mechanical problem let him down. It is a risk that all the drivers take and they know that any time no matter how much preperation is involved something terrible may happen, at these speeds there is no room for error.
Very sad to see and may I just say he deserves respect of the highest order.
@iziahlights It was not a mechanical problem. Why can't you people accept that Senna made a mistake? A fatal mistake. He was a man like everybody else and just pushed too hard.
@beeroosterm Off course Senna made mistakes... he was human after all, but in this case all the evidence points towards machenical failure. On the onboard cam you can se his head jerking left before he runs off the track. that indicates he turns the wheel left and braces his neck for the anticipated g-force, but the car just shoots straight ahead. also from Schumacher's car, Senna seems to suddenly stop steering and veer right.
@Woutah2dmaX The evidence points to human error. Period. There is zero evidence of mechanical failure. Zero. He bottomed out, lost the front end, and ran off the track/ into the wall at 120 mph. End of story. He pushed too hard once too many times and came to a bad end. Stop beating a dead horse.
@nodakim13 And despite all the evidence to the contrary (that it was merely driver error), you personally conclude your "hypothesis" is correct? Well, aren't you special?...
It is because the night before the race was changed to the Seine and since the steering was manual soldering and removing it did not hold the Seine lost control of the machine. Excuse my English
Senna´s helmet moved left when the car goes STRAIGHT...no lateral forces...just a DEAD BODY and a dancing HEAD after being struck on the right side of his eye with a BULLET.
@Funfisique i cant beleive that anyone could think that Senna was killed by a sniper, it actually makes me laugh to hear such bullshit! I dont know the exact speed he was doing, but it was in excess of 300kmh, please tell me how someone shot him whilst he was travelling at that speed? and as for his head leaning to the left, his head leans because he is expecting to be taking large G forces upon his neck, most F1 drivers do this. Sniper? LOL yeah right! Senna's death is as clear as MUCKY WATER.
They can shoot a moving target at 2 kilometers distance with a error gap of 2 centimeters...
Tell them to hit a 50m distance car on a preset path traveling at whoever speed... for example: they could leave Prost with a brand new less Frenchie looking nose if they wanted to...LOL
The ECU's was intact as an Imola official testified on Senna's trial, yet Renault smashed and told they had to "restore" the data contained...
