Apparently from what I read Grizzlies that attack two people running from it tend to stop for hardly more then a second after catching the first before going after the second.

In every sense possible, it's better to just stand there, and either try to scare it away (for a Black Bear) or go into some variant of the fetal position (for a Grizzly) if the Bear actually attacks.
