HAHA! At the end of the ballgame when Ahmad Rashad interview with Jordan, Ahmad played joke with Michael about how many holes (GOLF) has he made before this game!!
It was payback time for the Miamit. Now we win 4-1 in the Eastern Conference finals. It's kind of a weird coincidence. What's weirder is that we're playing the Mavs AGAIN in the Finals after 5 years. What are the odds of that?
Bulls-Heats Rivalry return, after the heat form the new Big 3 and the bulls getting Boozer, Korver and Ronnie Brewer. It will be an epic match-up when these two battling after the Lakers this year is done.
@BASKETBALLJEZUS u mean he's da best kobe ain't got shit on mike he wouldn't hav survived tha physicality of his era nor would he have his 4 and half titles i discredit tha one in 02 remember game 6 wcf when tha refs cheated for l.a and da kings still almost won mike never needed that
Yea, some ambassador to the game HE is. wouldn't even shake hands with Mourning at the start of the game! it's playoff basketball, it's going to be physical! i'm pretty sure that Alonzo had no ill intent when he dropped the bow on Pippen in game 4. he'sa big dude, 6'10" 261, despite how athletic he is, if you get a guy that large in the air, he's gonna come down hard! you wana talk about dirty players, look on your own team Michael, Dennis is as much as a jackass as they come!
@wildazcat25 That is true about Rodman. However, I remember Alonzo did the same to Michael a couple games earlier in the series and I am wondering if that was pay back for that. Not saying its right I just remember this series quite well.
Thats right Bulls won this series before ROckets/Jazz series was decided. I would have loved to see the Bulls play the Rockets to see the MJ/Olajuwon matchup (granted they are different positions but still they would be on floor together) and see the Bulls Centers try their best against the dream, the man that may have been the greatest player on the planet at that time.
@JZ2001JC Yep, that was my DREAM series Chicago vs Houston but damn little Stockton hit that 3 pointer to win the west!! I was in high school @ the time and followed EVERYTHING both those teams did. I still think Michael was the greatest ever, but Hakeem was right there with him. The greatest series that never happened... Michael, Scottie, and Dennis versus Hakeem, Charles, and Clyde. We'll never know... :-(
No disrespect to the Heat, but I kind of wish that it had been the Knicks against the Bulls in the 97 conference finals. I don't know who would've won, but seeing as the Bulls wrapped the Heat up in five games I think a New York-Chicago series would've been much more competitive; just to throw out a guess maybe Bulls in six or Knicks in seven
The Heat and Knicks were always so evenly matched during these days. Anyone remember those heated rivalries? MJ and the Bulls were a little too much though.
@vudujl83 You're kidding right.. a 69 win team losing to a 57 win team wasn't going to happen. Esp the Bulls of that year, which were a notch below the historic 72 win team. By that time, any team in the East was just wishing not to have gotten more dominated then they did.
The Knicks had their best chance in 92 and 93. but I do agree, given the history, it would have been awesome to have seen a Knicks Bulls playoffs after MJ's comeback.
Those Air Jordan 12's that Michael wore during that 96/97 campaign sometimes even made HIM look as he was not 100% comfortable in those shoes. Some of his moves in that season were not as round as we are used to see it from him. Look at his feet/legs as he is going for the first slam set up by Harper at 01:47
do you feel sorry for the people that were born at he same time that you were born. he shoulda just hell naw but he answered the question as respectively as he can and it just came soundin funny...lol
I remember when i saw him play in those for the first time. i was freaking out because those were the first ever Jordans that were PURELY BLACK AND WHITE!
1st! haha sick dunk at 1:37, the man was 34 years old and could still throw down the double clutch dunk with ease. And that shot at 2:00 was beautiful - driving to his left, he stopped on a dime, gave a few pump fakes, and drains a shot falling backwards towards his left side - with a defender draped over him. GOAT
Gotta love how the Bulls are so chill about making it to the NBA Finals, lol.

it's odd indeed because the mavs had a sweet revenge on your team
that's the difference on 97 bulls to your big 3 heat. the bulls finished their job all the way to the title ^_^

More like an EPIC FAIL for Chicago. Rose was amazing, but the rest of the guys were inconsistent and ineffective in the final minutes.

@MsSanus Oops, forgot about that.. but I mean a Knicks team like the early-mid 90's that would have challenged a strong Bulls team.
By the 1996 playoffs, that Knicks team were on their way down with their best days behind them.
