  • im looking for a sx10 combo amp for a bass, what do reccomend

  • That mic by his mouth makes me wanna buy a Sham-wow.

  • What's the footprint of an amp?

  • @thebeer006 how muchspace it takes up on the floor im guessing

  • i saw no 4x10 2x12 or 2x10

  • 1:47 for the 210. 2:16 for the 212. 2:48 for the 410

  • i hate the way you talk

are you related to papa johns pizza guy

  • ???American guy reading off an auto cue badly for an English company???

  • I'm thinking of getting a 4x10, 450 watt cabinet and I need to know if a 575 watt head is too powerful for it??

  • @IMusHRooMHeaDI

You can use it, but run it anywhere near full volume and you run the risk of destroying the speakers.

I recommend getting a head that's rated less than your cab.

  • @drummerat125 thanks :)

  • oh you do? well listen to tool and stfu

  • You're MAD! Just MAD!

But damn that's awesome! Finally a 2x10 that sounds big and Orange! :D

  • "use an SM57 at the edge of the dust cover and the cone, where they meet" Does this guy know what the dust cover is? No.

  • ooh, ya hear that? it's not super heavy AND it doesn't weigh a lot! crazy.

  • youre actually not best known for your work on rock band. its because of your "betcha cant play this"

  • re-amp plug was unnoticeable

  • they all sound... THE SAME! gasp

  • @thehasslessydney No. They don't.

  • @phoratio haha whoops, tried them in the shop. you are totally right. they sound way different when they aren't in 240p

  • Orange amps ROCK!

  • Sounds pretty cool, but I can't help but wonder if the different mic heights (and amp heights) affect what we're hearing. Also, what is the footprint of an amp?

  • Oh and WHY is it that you need to make every one of your cabs a different size?? That's another BUMMER!!! I like my cabs to be the same size. Looks are just as important as sound. So if I wanted to have the same size cabs and a nice look, I am forced to buy two of the same cabs to complete my stack??

  • @Pinstripedtie no one's forcing you to do anything. relax.

  • @jimboobism Never said anyone was... just that if I were to buy Orange gear, I would need to buy the same 2 cabs to have them look like they belong together in a stack. But that's ok... I just bought an Avatar 410 and Avatar 212 and LOVE them!

I put a MarkBass LM 800 on top. SEE YA!

  • @Pinstripedtie Will you please let me know how the avatar 212 is?? I've been looking into a 212 for so long and researching avatar, everyday I'm on that site, how does that cab whether the bass sound? And how're the lows. honestly I've been looking for something that'll handle the sub frequencies. I feel it's in the 12's because I feel like the 15's leave something to be desired, and tens just don't do it for me, I've got a 210 on top of a 410 right now and it blows. Pushing a SWR 350 pre fender

  • Your amps may sound good, but they sure do look like CRAP!! I absolutely HATE the form factor of your bass heads!!

  • I LOVE my Orange 4x12 guitar cab...

This seems like a great way to get started on a bass rig with amazing tone that DOESN'T involve an Ampeg 8x10 cab, or the glorious but expensive Orange Thunderverb 200 head.

  • Is this guy serious??!!!

    That's not a 2X12 or a 4X10 cab!!!!!

  • Ummm, yeah they are. I work in a music store and our Orange rep brought these in last year. The speakers are configured very intelligently to conserve space while maximizing tone. It's pretty awesome to not have to lug around super heavy gear and still get ridiculous tone. Check 'em out!!!

  • @metalmouth13 yeah, the 2 x 12 has 1 speaker, and the 4 x 12 only has 2 speakers. Unless the ones we can't see are angled like a down firing subwoofer. Still the box would be bigger.

  • @metalmouth13 they are isobaric, which means they have two speakers inside sitting right behind one another working in tandem. So yes those are 2X12 and 4X10

  • They're Isobarics. The cabs fit 2 speakers into an enclosure that looks like a 1x10 or 1x12 by placing the second one behind the front driver. Look up 'isobaric' on Google for a lot more info on this method of speaker loading.

  • @chatnoirband Your mother was isobraic with me in her bed

  • @Nutsazballs You might want to get an STD test then.

  • Definitely worth checking out the next time I'm at a music store.

  • 2x10? 2x12? 4x10? What????

  • Sigh... They're ISOBARIC cabinets. Simply put this means one speaker is behind the other, working in tandem, rather than side by side. Thus each appears to be half the size.

  • @occupiedbytim Orange think's they're badass and groundbreaking with their "isobraic" design.

You can purchase a 410, 210,212 etc.. 410 for example will appear as a '210', with the other two speakers directly behind it, there's an opening on the bottom of the cab for that air to escape. I honestly don't believe this could be any better in my opinion, because realistically, the bigger the box/enclosure, the more air you're able to use and the bigger the sound is, and resonates. But who knows.

  • I wonder if there's a band yet where everyone plays a Terror. They could have 4 members counting the drummer and call themselves the Quad Terrors or the Triple Terrors with Guy that Bangs on Stuff. (tTTwgtbos for short)
