There is a reason why dancers traditionally wear their hair up. Unless their is a valid artisitic reason that is appanrent in the work it should always be up. More than anything else it looks much better.

everyone has there own opinion on that..in my opinions it looks a lot more modern and there is nothing wrong with the hair movement the same as body movement. Older dancers may not like it though

I hate to be hard line but there is really no room for everyone's own interpretation of the hair tradition. Hair must be up and away from the face period unless as I said before their is a compositional reason as to why it is down. If it is just down beacuse the dancer thinks it is pretty then that is not good enough. It gets in the way, it distorst the body line and makes everything look messy expecially in young inexperienced dancers and I am neither an "older dancer" or a ballet dancer.
