Foil Printing Process on T-Shirts

Question. Which t-shirt last longer (washing machine wash + dry, which will start flaking 1st). Silk screen shirt or foiled shirts? Thanks!

@CDGSupreme Foil printing IS screen printing. Foil is heat pressed into a foil adhesive that is screen printed the same as an ink color. Foil is very delicate and will have a tendency to flake over time.

so do you just print on the shirt like a usual screen print and then put the foil on and heat press it on. or do you use an adhesive also?

i i did the same but the when i take it off some of the paper does not stick do u know what it can be that im doing wrong some parts wont stay whats your timeing and heat thanks alot

What is the name of that machine your drying your t-shirt on? Love it :) How much? Where to buy?

@713237 It's an Atlas conveyor dryer and a Hix brand heat press.

@jimhack3 I'd love to have a larger/newer heat press but this old beast does the trick. Hix makes great heat presses. I love mine.

@kingscreendotcom Yes they do! I would like to have the 220V, but I purchased the 115V Hix. I want to try some foil prints. Do you use a clear gel base, or an adhesive specifically for foil?

I guess that you purchase the foil in rolls, correct?

@jimhack3 We have used both high density clear and foil adhesive. Both work well. We do purchase foil in rolls and cut sheets to the size needed.
