Even the steel ones. I had one with rebar handling.. AXE DOWN.. AXE DOWN... lol

That was the title of my axe breaking utube vid.. Lol!

  • He is the last of the mohicans!

  • Ain't no wolves fuckin with that guys cows

  • Just lucky he didn't ace his camera!

  • That's the last thing you see before he turns you into beef jerky.

  • jesus, dont go trespassing on this guys farm, reminds me of a horror movie, dead end i think ?

  • HOLY CRAP!

  • I flinched. :(

  • 2 for

    flinching lol

  • nice! i never thought about it but using a mirror so you can see both you and the target is genius! way easier then having to sync 2 videos

  • GREAT; CREATIVE; AND ECONOMICAL; WICH IS ALSO KINDA ECOLOGICAL TOO, CONGRATS

    Hector, hunter gatherer, from Argentina

  • maybe that because its a mirror... noob

  • Idiot. Ever hear of mirrors dumbass?

  • Nice throw!

  • rydidk

  • vintage, my apologies for not being clear. i actually LIKE when people develop skills based on doing what they love rather some mundane economic consideration. if you check my channel, you will see that i am a blacksmith who has spent a lot of time forging and throwing knives -- skills with no possible economic benefit. so, in this context, "useless" is a compliment. money is over-rated. i am looking forward to your next axe video...

  • Yeah, I realised what you meant after I checked your channel... your comment did seem a little strange for someone that was a spike thrower.

    Sorry about the misunderstanding.

  • vintage,

i am glad this was cleared up. i used to throw axes in my misspent youth, which might be why i became a blacksmith. forging axes is as much fun as throwing them...

  • it is wonderful that there are people perfectly happy to spend countless hours developing a skill which is, from the perspective of a profit-career-money oriented society, completely useless. bravo. really.

  • ok mr. buzzkill

  • what is "buzzkill", where can i buy some, and what does it mean?

  • Actually 'kalevraa', I have competed in axe throwing competitions my whole life, it is my 'HOBBY', AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE'S...

Why are you watching something useless... who is wasting their time, the guy throwing the axe, or the person watching someone else throw the axe ?

And actually there is money in it if you have a lot of skill...like myself !

  • Remind me to never have you forge any axe heads for me or any of the other 2.8 million timber sports contestants who use an axe... there goes your profit, better 'throat sing' for your supper now... boy.

  • vintage, how unkind.

i have nothing but respect for your skill. i will certainly not force you to use any of the woodworking tools i DO forge, even though i think they are pretty nice and people always seem to come back for more.

again -- it's good to work hard and make good stuff and get paid, but is is great to play hard for the heck of it, and screw the money. so again --"useless" is a compliment, as far as i am concerned, at least.

  • my impression is that joe or alley mirou in camera? each.

  • Throwing a full size axe with one hand is difficult...and it has a neet looking angular flight. I have done alot of one handed throwing in the past, but I have found that it is less consistant for me, also it causes to much damage to the muscles and joints if it is done repeatedly.

I have posted a video of me throwing one of my single bitted axes...I use about a 36 inch handle for my single bit axes, and lots of duck tape and padding at the handle near the head, simply because...

  • ...the impact vibration is too extreme.

I have titled the video at 40 feet but it is actually longer so that it adapts to my throwing style.

I use double bitted axes when I'm in competition... and usually throw from 20 feet for the Timber Sports regulations.

I do alot of springboard chopping and actually grew up falling trees that way- when I was a young kid my father wouldn't allow me a chainsaw, but I still had to work, so he made me fall trees by axe and I learned alot.

    Anyway,good throw

  • POW!

  • you just know that the swedes are really all just crazy old vikings, suppressing the urge to raid your coastal cities, rape your churches and burn your women

  • very cool view from the target...I don't think I'll try that till I get a little bit better

  • a step is more than 1 foot its about 2-4 feet

  • He takes 12 steps to get back to the target... Not even close to 40 feet. Still badass though. Way better than anyone on here (myself included) could do.

  • Actually he takes 13 steps, and at 3 feet per step that's 39 feets, ofcourse at 2 feet per step its only 26 feet.

Still, he's the one with the axe, so it's his word we'll be taking ; )

  • It is probably close to 40 feet... In my video I am throwing from a little over 40 feet... but 40 feet sounds good.

  • Well actually under Swedish axe throwing rules the distance is defined from the center on the target to the throwers feet which means if you do the Pythagoras then along the floor to the taget is roughly 39.54 feet, Also this axe is a 2 /1/2 pound Swedish throwing axe with a 29 inch handle that has a natural amplitude of 1 rotation of 1 cycle per 20 foot , you can see that it makes 2 full turns , I have done it at 60 foot where it made 3 full turns but nearly ripped my arm out with the effort !

  • @FilipeColez

    Great answer ^^

  • i'm sorry, it is actually pretty good.. But it's SUPERFAKE! He clips the axe in at the right moment, thats all..

  • you are just a dick. watch the vid properly.

  • Well. Not bad, but still. Not near 40 feet.

  • Cool!

  • Nice.

  • BRAVO!!! well done! fine show of skill mate

  • he used a mirror, ohh omg

  • retard

  • I love this guy.

  • lol i'd laugh if he hit the camera

  • its not fake.he just doesnt want to hit the cam.hes just filming the reflection.

  • no i think he was using a mirror and with some physics knowledge he could calculate a good angle to reflect and so the camera wont be hit

  • That's a good way to loose a camera!

  • Nice!

  • 5 star.

  • Really nice!!

  • hey , you don't think I'd really risk £1,500's worth of digicam do you ? check the 20 foot throw ....lol

  • wait.. was there a mirrow there? or something.. it looks a bit odd..

  • Dude, tht was amazing!

  • Hey man that's some really nice axe throwing,I would really like to know to do that.Just one question what's with the mirror on the right??

  • duno if that reply worked but it I ws trying to copy my 20 foot throw which is under axeman v digicam , have a look
