I truly believe that it is God that draws us back to Him. I'm pretty convinced that salvation is not just someone being open to Him, but also a work of the Holy Spirit. If you aren't truly open, then the Holy Spirit cannot "speak" to you.
The longer you close yourself off from God, the more chance there is He will simply let you have your way.
I became an atheist for a short period of time. (yes I was a real atheist) but in my search, I discovered that I simply needed to make a choice. I knew why atheists were atheist, but I also knew why Christians became Christians. You can rely solely upon the evidence that you can see feel and touch, or rely mostly on faith. I choose faith. I know there isn't a lot of evidence for my belief. I just believe. I have a long interesting testimony. I may make a video about it someday.
I used to attend Pastor Bob's church. Now I am an Atheist. lol
No, he wasn't the reason I became an Atheist. He actually sat down and spoke with me about it once when I only first began to question god. I was still going to church. This was more than 13 years or so ago, and my Atheism is set in stone. I have seen and learned so much since then, it is now impossible for me to go back. But, I do remember how much I enjoyed listening to Pastor Bob.
@Sintwar hi just hope you never stop searching for the Truth inside you, in your heart. Not outside of it, for we cannot put our trust on man, or else we'll always get disappointed. take care
Another great "Bob" moment, sharing yet again another TRUTH from scripture.
You know it is funny how so many people today say, "whatever you do...don't lie to me!" We all hate to be deceived. Yet, we are lied to every time we turn around in our society today, by just about everyone we know. Yet, all along the truth is right here.... available.... for anyone....anyone willing to seek out the Truth.
