Seems to have a similar premise to Summer Wars, except that 8th Wonderland seems to be a covert society/rebel organization that causes chaos instead of an AI causing unrest and anarchy within a virtual realm.

Saw "8th Wonderland" in the snak preview yesterday.
Just one word: horrible.
It's one of the worst movies i've ever seen.All characters are unreliable, the story is totally bullshit. It's a wierd concept coupled with very very bad actors. Not one of the actors has at least some acting talent. For me and for all of us in the cinema yesterday it was just funny how bad this movie is. After 40 minutes most of the people in the cinema was already gone.The trailer is much better than the movie.

Watched the film in the theater this week. Unfortunately not a good film. Acting on the level of an amateur soap opera, abysmally naive dialogue and a holey plot on a level a 13 year old idealist would write. Central part, a chat room where nobody ever gets emotional (or that's how the acting plays out), nobody ever swears or even interrupts anyone else. Incompetent secret service doesn't detect data traffic from within their own hq, take months to find a physical server location. Don't watch.
