How to Mix Vocals With Cool Edit Pro

Does it matter which order you do it in? I've already compressed all my material and have it saved. I don't want to re-record it considering that I put a lot of mixing/editing into it to only to be hit with a strong sibilance sound (too much S) therefor ruining an amazing track. I was listening in through the mic and it sounded better only to be hit with this shit after mixing the track down. I'll be grateful for any incite. Thanks for the tutorial. The De esser only makes the track worse.

1,) HE HAS NO CHAIN

2.) HE HAS NO BUSSES (U CANT EVEN ROUT IN COOL EDIT)

3.) He filtered out no lows or Highs

4.) He did not use compression or processor for low ends or bass

5.) No Compresssor with Limiter Exciters or Harmonics

This is not mastering period. This is a disgrace to all real engineers

Don't take this guys advice. That is not mastering.... He was mixing and doing a sh*t job at it. Mastering is all the vocals and beat tracked into a 2 track and then the 2 track is mastered. And not with your method. Your method squashed all the dynamics in your vocal. And all he needed to do at the beginning to take out the background sound is to apply a noise gate to the vocal.... Please don't give out advice about what you don't know.... It confuses the people.
