Thanks for the quick response i take from your response that your ps3 is still working witch is a good thing i did seach the net and given you have changed the hard drive a possible answer could be The RAM atleast thats what im getting from the net is your ps3 dusty?
Hello I was just wondering if you have found out what the problem is with your ps3 my ps3 started to make this same noise while i was playing uncharted and just stoped nothing happened though it did not freeze or shut down and i continued to play with no issue have you found any resolution to this problem?
@scar4eternity unfortunately I haven't found any solution yet. I have moved it out from my TV-table so the PS3 would get colder, and it helped a little becuase it isn't happening that often anymore.
@Ryuuji14 I had the same problem with my old harddrive, I now have a new one but still the same beep. I've tried to format the drive, but with no success.

@scar4eternity It could possibly be the ram, i've also heard it could be the power supply! No I have opened it up, and it was no dust at all.

Sounds like a constant beeping dreamcast. Hard drive Failure. Replace a new hard drive.
