To MTLguitarist98:  If you're talking about the ac adapters, one is for the unit itself (in) and the other (out) feeds a/c to another pedal, using an a/c patch cable or chain (for multiple effects) -- very handy feature!

it honestly works pretty well unless there is a compressor infront of it and sometimes if it's dialed in too high it can take away from your lead tones especially for tapping and hammer ons and such

Will this pedal work if to eliminate huzz and feedback from JUST my amp?I dont use pedals cause I dont got any but my Crate 120 watt GX-212 amp gives major feedback when I crank it past 2 or 3(yes its that loud,they are the loudest combo amps you can buy).I really want to get rid of the noise but was curious to know if this pedal works onyl when you get extra pedals involved.Help anybody?

@YShattered he has always used ibanez tube screamers, dod 205 preamp pedals, and dod yjm308 overdrive pedals in front of his marshall vintage mkII and plexi 50 watt heads, other than being too bright, and a tad noisy that is basically yngwie's sound even through the combo

Another thing: the NS-2 only eliminates noise when no notes are being played. Usually, the noise isn't really a problem while playing, because the playing itself drowns it out. I don't know what's going on with his OD, but the noise is still VERY noticeable while he plays. I never have this problem with my Big Muff.

@SoylentGreen84 a lot of times when you stack multiple gain structures (here he uses two) you get hiss (from the sheer power of 2 items maxed out in gain levels) that never stops even when playing, if you just use one item for the gain you won't have as much hiss as him, also if the amp is maxed out gain wise it may hiss itself depending on the individual amp which can only be silenced with some noise suppression in the effects loop as well as directly after the distortion pedal

I have a pretty expensive one that takes out all the noises, but when you are playing on stage you can't take all that stuff with you so this pedal is a very good option.

love this pedal.... and it prolly is set up to have more fuzz then normal but let me tell you.... you run a heavy distortio(metal muff) that fuzz gets annoying.... this pedal eliminates that fuzz and buzzing. this pedal is my main pedal in my rig and my whole pedal board revolves around it.... my advice.. use the send and return jacks for your pedals. and the in and out for guitar and amp.... put you wah in this run.... from guitar to wah to ns-2.

yeah, you can clearly see him hit the OD pedal then turn it off to show the difference in gain. then hits the NS-2 to suppress the hiss. The NS-2 does work and its fantastic! I use it to suppress my MXR ZW pedal that I have in front.

THIS VIDEO IS HUGE BULLSHIT.

It's sonly at the very end that the DOD308 and the BOSS NS-2 are in use and it sounds like huge hiss.

In the middle of the video another boost was used, this one was hiss free and didn't need any noise suppressor.

Malmsteen's steps on pedals were useless, somebody was in charge of mixing all this in order to convince you to buy BOSS.

It's been a long time Malmsteen doesn't use the gear being sold to us.

this pedal is magic.This wont effect your reverb if anything it makes it more noticeable when u play with it. This pedal is a must if you play guitar in a band and use high gain (distortian) it will eliminate all the unnecessary feed back or humm when theres a break or pause in a song. on a scale of 1- 10 based on neccesity i give it a 9 because u dnt really need it if your playing low but come on like i always say "when ur jammin ur jammin and jam loud! "hahha
