u all yaping about AWD.....that subaru is rear wheal drive.... 1 the rule in drifting is that your car has to be rear wheal drive 2 u cant drift a AWD car cus the front wheals pull the car out of the drift so u can do onli shot "drifts" powerslides
@Boocho88 exactly , and like a professional drift team , one of the top teams from japans d1 , who have been doing this many years on professional level , wouldnt know how the rules are , people are just brainless sometimes !
dude first off, all wheel drive is diff from 4 wheel drive, all wheel drive is all 4 wheels being powered, 4 wheel drive is being able to change to hav only rear if u want. the wrx, n sti both are 4 wheel. the sti u can change the differentials from 35 front/65 rear, or visa versa, or to 4 wheel.
subaru's are AWD not 4 wheel drive u cannot take off power to front wheels completely they always have power so then its still AWD ever see a subaru commercial by chance lol this is stock speaking not modding the drivetrain
Also, that wasn't so much a track as it was the parking area. If you look at the bottom of the video during the straight away of the video, you'll see a yellow tent and some white lines. That's where we set up our RC drift stuff.
Hey, that was D1 back in May of 07. Team Orange was giving ride alongs to the members of Groovy Drift later on that night. SOOOOOOOO much fun. And Vaughn broke his mustang and had to drift an SR powered 86. Then he bought drinks later. Good times.
^Wow, ignorant answer number 1.... yes there is a ton of money into making a subaru RWD.... Specialty center diff, $600, Stronger tie rods and ends $400, R200 rear differential swap, $1600 min, and this is just to make it some-what driftable and reliable.... I hope you learn quickly that in everything car related, especially when being original in something, it will always cost money...and typically a lot of it.
OK... PEOPLE
deleted front driveshafts.
welded center diff.
FULLY CUSTOM RWD DRIFT CAR.

I think you have to just remove some things, i don't think you have to actually spend any money.

Lol i'm no car guy.
But thanks for giving a correct guess. I've been told before you really don't need to do anything to make a car go from AWD to RWD.

D1 is cool, but i just dont like how they only use one section of the track. It would be cooler if they used the whole thing. ^_^
