  • Christ , i rememeber hearing Casey Kasem on some of our FM stations in the mid 80s in Australia, this is the first time i've ever seen his face .... wierd co's i always visualised that he was a middle aged black man who was slightly overweight lol , none the less his name and his voice prob won't be forgotten by me ,as he played a big part of my 80's FM listening days.

  • Casey retired last week from radio. You can hear his countdown on XM radio, 80s on 8. It's the countdown he did on the radio rebroadcast...

  • I can hardly believe that. I was listening to Casey in the seventies and of course he does a lot of voice work on cartoons (Scooby doo for one)

  • Actually Casey is still on Radio, but he's doing other Radio Shows.

He currently hosts four weekly syndicated radio programs based on the American Top 40 franchise: American Top 20 with Casey Kasem, American Top 10 with Casey Kasem, Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 70s, and Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80s.

He's also doing voiceovers as the host of WGN America's Out of Sight Retro Night Flashbacks.

  • I was still in MIDDLE SCHOOL when this aired!

  • Casey read my brother's question on air the week Terrence Trent Darby was #1! (It's the May 8, 1988 episode.)

  • Lord help me I remember this!! Damn I feel old LOL! But Iva is still brilliant - Icehouse is one of the best bands of all time and Iva deserves even greater success than he's had!
