Show me a 3900 pound Supra that is making only 585whp and running 10.2 in the quarter mile. IMPOSSIBLE. Impossible on drag radials let alone street tires like this GT-R with full interior and no fishtailing, just complete control. The Supra just cannot compete with the GT-R. It's like a Spitfire Vs F22 Raptor. The Supra and the 2JZ is a car and a great engine but the GT-R is just simply unbeatable.

If you're so sure aluminum blocks are rubbish why don't you go tell the boys building 1300whp+ aluminum LS Chevy blocks. Now I don't give a fuck how fast a stripped out dragster is. @princepersia1 The GTR is a downright launching MONSTER but I woulden't go as far as saying it's superior. There are too many things to consider to conclude that. We're talking about two cars from different generations. It's not really fair to compare since there's no current supra to compare it to as far as how the cars progressed up 'till now. I can't really call the Lexus LFA "the new supra" either as some do. Meh well.

Im no supra expert but I will say he needs a set of real slicks and maybe an anti lag system put in because he is well past the 60' marker before it starts to spool he can keep his suspension but he needs more power off the line maybe spray off the line.

More power potential, with less displacement, 6 speed transmission (gotta love em)

GTR weighs 3800LBS and starts to show its weight after 120-130mph plus short gearing.

Supra excels in 1/4 mile and roll racing... you can make a 1200whp Supra run low 8's without the help of an automatic transmission or having to mess with the gearing. Don't even get me started with power..... theres a 2500hp Supra running around.... i'll leave it at that..... FLAME SUIT ON! fck the GTR

@AjViShus The AVG ET of a 600hp GTR will probably be at least a full second faster than its Supra counterpart....simply put - the avg built supra will have its butt handed to it by a bolt-on GTR from a dig....once you start talking kitchen sink builds and 1500+whp you might as well talk rocket ships and 6 figure builds....hardly worth talking about for street cars....stock block S2000 just went 9,5@147 ....alot cheaper to buy an S2000 and slap a turbo on than finding a mint 2JZ MKIV =)

@AjViShus ....so that's why the AMS Alpha 12 GT-R in FULL street trim and no fishtailing and complete control with an insane AWD system trap 170mph and high 8 sec runs while 1000whp Supras run 12s unless sitting on radials and stripped out? The Supra isn't even in the GT-Rs league. The GT-R is currently the most advanced road car even more so than the Bugatti Veyron. It really has literally blown apart all other cars. What makes it even better is the price, it's TOO cheap.

Kind of easy to run 8's with 1200hp while pressing on the gas and flicking back paddles.... LAME. more respect goes to the Supra driver keeping the 1000hp beast under control through a 6 speed. Their 2JZ motor has seen HP levels of over 2500hp whereas the GTR has barely been in the 1500whp range without breaking a sleeve or block. Cast Iron baby! You can make a Supra fast for cheaper if you wanna throw figures out... u can buy a 1000hp supra for less than 80k, who's cheap now?

@AjViShus "breaking blocks and sleeves" That BS, the AMS Alpha 12s are more reliable than a stock Supra and considering they're pushing 1300whp it's just damn incredible. As for "driver skill through a 6 spd" that's what all losers say, the fact is though that the AMS cars have 1300whp that can be daily driven and controllable as well as full interior and pretty much a stock looking car that runs high 8s. The Supra will NEVER get to that level of driveability. Show me 1 fishtailing GTR

12.3 11.8 is terriable for this car. He doesent launch hard enough then lets off the gas too much when the tires start to spin...give this car to somebody that can actucally drive it. Tell the driver that he should be sitting in somthing that doesent take as much skill to drive...like a gtr

@garrettej8 well they had shitty ass drag radials on a very high horsepower RWD car....it would light the tires up and just spin....he had to ease into it and once it hit full boost even at half track the car would get sideways, its like riding a bull if youve never drove a high hp rwd car.

both are amazing cars. I'll be getting the GTR in 2 years once my contract is up. I've had a R33 skyline and it was fast as hell. I can't even imagine what the R35 will feel like. I have a lot of respect for supras, but my favourite has to be with Nissan.

@Rockit181 Costs significantly less to build than the GTR though. Biggest short coming of the GTR is its weight. If it was raced seriously on a road course with repeated laps its massive weight becomes a problem as it puts excessive stress on brakes, tires, tranny and numerous other parts. There's a reason why F1 uses RWD setups. BTW the Supra still had the higher trap speed of the two 139mph vs 135mph of the GTR, 1/4 times are over rated trap speed = power.
