  • I got chills. You won't see any of today's Hollywood stars doing that. Jesus is the reason for the season. And the cross is the reason for Christmas.

  • People like George Burns, Jimmy Stewart and Lucille Ball made a difference in Hollywood and to those that knew them. Their gift was perhaps their most powerful one.

There is nothing today that compares with these individuals. Instead of cherishing what these people gave to us, we consider ones like Taylor Swift to have talent when she so clearly reveals she doesn't have any.

  • Hollywood might have talented people, but there is no way they have the class and charisma that old Hollywood (with exeption of very few) had not even close, these two stars are in their late seventieth, they aged gracefuly with what God gave them and they look beautiful.

  • I don't believe in God or Jesus but I think it is a charming story and it is nice to see people enjoy this sort of thing.

  • What a lovely video, how lovely !

    Thank you for sharing !

God bless all ! xoxox nita

  • Wow. James Stewart is so amazing. I love him dearly. (As you can see from my name). And Lucille Ball is so sweet.

  • i also love how lucy mesmerizes the story without ever looking down

  • i think they played the music to loud but i still loved it!

  • Te Amaremos Siempre Lucy !!!!!!

  • This is quite a jewel of a video. Wonderful. Don't know why people are fussing with each other. The Christmas story itself is the same whether in the Catholic or Presbyterian church.. And obviously she is comfortable right there in this church. Never saw this before. just thrilled with it.

  • Is lucille ball catholic????

  • @amabilis77 No, Lucille Ball's husband Desi Arnez was Catholic; Lucille, spriritually, was a Prysbterian as was James Stewart, her friend who appears in the scene with her.

  • well you don't have to be rude i'm just saying

  • SHE WAS "CATHOLIC."

  • No, Lucille Ball was PROTESTANT, not Catholic, though both are a form of Christianity.

  • She was protestant. Her first husband Desi was a Catholic.

  • @oohcool Now that is correct.

  • Jesus is the greatest gift of all. Two of God's very special children...Jimmy Stewart and Lucille Ball...reading the wonderful Christmas Story.

  • These are the kind of programs that should be on this time of year! There will never be anyone like them ever again. Especially with the government we're getting now.

  • I just think this is soooooooooo awesome seeing my idol wait let me rephrase that.........my biggest role model worshiping the lord its just an awesome thing No greater person than Lucille will walk this earth.just what orionluckystar said the just dont make people like anymore and its the truth.

thanks sooooooo much for posting it was wonderful.

  • I don't think Lucille did this as just a favor I think Lucille believed in the lord cause its states in HER book that the reason she wasent blessed with a child was because her and desi hadent been married in the presents of god cause they were married in a court and another thing is both of her children where baptized into cathiloc religion and she also adopted it as her own religion so I think Lucille is up there. looking down on me sometimes i think shes my guardian angel

  • looking down on all of us fans i mean haha

  • WAS LUCILLE BALL A CHRISTIAN

  • I hope so or I will never get to meet her.

  • i know she is dont worry well both get to meet her

  • Great --Vince Diak

  • Jesus is the reason for Christmas. God Bless. This was wonderful to see James Stewart and Lucille Ball reading the Christmas Story.

  • They don't come any greater than Lucy. They just don't make them like her and Jimmy Stewart anymore. Great Christmas classic-wish they'd rerun it every year. Thanks for posting it!

  • you are so right

  • Jimmy Stewart and Lucielle Ball are both Hollywood and American icons. They were amazing, talented performers and it is a sad thing to know that they are gone. Thankfully, they have made amazing performances and I will never get tired of watching any of it.

  • I never saw this, didn't know I had ever missed Lucy in anything. What a Christmas treasure!

  • hey dont forget lucy was in that clip too, my girl!

  • OMG, Deniece Williams was wonderful!!

  • Keep Christ in Christmas!

  • Keep Christ in Christmas!

  • Everyone should have an old fashioned Christmas celebration like this one.

  • I love the Christmas Story, and I adore Jimmy Stewart, so seeing him reading it was a moving, wonderful moment. Thank you so very much for sharing this gem.

  • what a wonderful, moving clip! thanks so much for sharing!
