Nostalgia Train - New York City Vintage Subway Train

I love these subway cars. I love the smell of that burnt, synthetic oil that these trains utilizes. when i was a kid back in the early 1970's, i used to rub my hand on the side of this train, whenever it pulled in the station. I nick named this train, "The dirty Train" because of the Tunnel dirt, rust on the sides.

man I remember them when I lived next to the EL on the M line...Bleeker Street. They had those basket weave seats.....That were hot in summer but I still loved them.

The funny thing is that when these trains were the regular everyday cars, people probably couldn't stand them.

@tryithere people hated them. Loud, smelly (from the massive amounts of lubrication), Smokey (from the same lubrication), and hot in the summer. They are damn cool to me though! I rode the thing for hours...
