  • Fantastic Robert, good advice because it's all about the music.

  • As always, great video.

I have a request, could you maybe go through some J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr) type of licks in a future lesson? I would love to learn a little more about his melodic style of soloing.

    Cheers.

  • Very nice ! Is that Carlos's old Mesa Boogie Mk 1 you are playing through?

I appreciate your thorough and thoughtful chord and scale explanations.

  • Thanks' Robert. Your explanation of this piece make's it easy and enjoyable to learn..

  • As always, Awsome lesson Robert. Thanks!

  • A classic song. I love the early Santana music. Nicely played, and very nice tone Robert. Thanks for the lesson.

  • WOW awesome

  • This has to be one of the most informative lessons I've heard online. This made a lot of sense to me. Now it's time to practice. -Rob

  • You are great, greetings from Mexico City

  • Thanks for the lesson... but want more Pink Kong! Peace

  • I like the fact that you talk more about theory in this lesson. I hope you will continue in that :-)

  • Great tone and awesome lesson sir - thanks for sharing.

  • What brand and model of electric guitar you were using in the video?

  • @JeffKnight he always uses Hell guitars

  • c'est super ! merci.

  • I agree people need to play arpeggios more as melodies not as a circus trick!!

  • nice

  • @MARKLINMAN1 I'm no Robert Renman, but I happen to know that the guitar in this video is made by Hell Guitars.

  • Great lesson Robert, i'm finally starting to understand the importance of 3rd, 5th, minor 3rd and minor 5th and how they relate both to scales and chords. Wondering how these arpeggios fit into the harmonic minor scale that i'm also working on ......... which to my ear is very Spanich Santana sounding. Thank you for all you do, you are a great teacher!

  • Excellent lesson i pulled out my Strat and learned this right away, you are a great teacher, thanks for this. Your guitar sounds nice, what is it? Looks like a Mike Lull, but i don't know if he makes Electric Guitars. Thanks in advance. I always look forward to your videos.

  • Great vid Robert! That Hell guitar sounds awesome! : )

  • that tone is nothing but amazing....those hell guitars are awesome, how much was that one?

  • whats your gear set up? That tone is just amazing.

  • @TrippyTheShroom Thanks! Hell Zerodot and HD500. The patch for this tone can be downloaded from the Line 6 site. See the description for the link. The guitars are great - the price will be revealed soon on their website.

  • @rotren No prob. Ive seen several of their guitars on your videos. The "Bender" (I think its called) really caught my eye. If only they had their prices up on the site!

  • @TrippyTheShroom I talked to Hell Guitars recently and they say their web is currently being updated. Expect much greater detail and pricing to appear end of January.

  • hey man great vid but the title is "Oye como va" not "oyo"
