  • It's an unusual case when "minor"-themed part sounds "good" and "major" part sounds evil.

  • @Korn1holio Oh wow, I never noticed that before. :O

  • I wish I could finish QFG 4, but I keep getting errors. Ive tried both versions and patched both of them.

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 Did you try it with Dosbox? That can solve a few of the timing errors.

  • @ZarlaSheenaza I've tried it on an older and newer version of dosbox (both patched). I've also tried a program where I've tuned the cpu speed to near zero. I guess its because I'm running the game and dosbox on a quad core cpu.

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 It could be. Are you playing the CD or Disk version?

  • @ZarlaSheenaza I've tried both. I got the CD version from my Quest For Glory Anthology disc, and I've downloaded the disk version from a website.

  • @ZarlaSheenaza I've tried both. I downloaded the disk version and I have the CD version from the Quest For Glory Anthology CD.

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 cdosabandonware has a version of QFG4 that I'm using with dosbox + D-fend and it's working allright, minor audio glitches and once or twice an error happened, but apart from that I'm near the ending, and everything's ok, try it, I thought I won't be able to play such an old game after all this time but.. It's still the best adventure game I've ever played, the music, the atmosphere..

  • @toniebardin Thanks very much. It works better then before. At least I can fight the Chernovies now. :D

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 np :P I finished QFG4 about 2 weeks ago... damn, 12 years I've waited to see the ending, before that I always had an error in the blood ritual cave :P

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 theres a website which has patches to fix all of the timing based issues... sierrahelp

  • @bcrt2000 I got it working mostly with dosbox + d-fend, and I patched both disk and cd versions before hand.

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 Have you tried the unofficial patch by NewRisingSun for it? I was never able to finish the game without it.

  • @Xartah I've tried the patch again but im still getting errors.

  • @PostalNerdGamer21 Try VDMSound.

  • Too bad this isn't the CD version with voice track.

  • I got the kissing dream when I played through as a wizard.

  • Ah, this takes me back...

I remember the last dream being different, in the games I played where I was a Wizard (or even a non-Wizard with some magic power - easy to do if you imported your character.) Instead of seeing Erana in the pool, the Hero romances her in the dream. It only seemed to happen with a Hero who knew magic. Anyone else remember that?

  • Wonderful music and text, this makes you feel like being in a magical world

  • Texts are pushing the atmosphere to top.

  • The "Friend" dream creeps me out the most, because it's not like "OOGA BOOGA MONSTER D:", it's just so vague, bleak, and terrifying.

  • For some reason the low-quality music soothes me.

  • The music was just fantastic that added to the feel of the game that still remains unmatched to this day.

  • I never really played this, though, but yeah it is a haunting track.

  • Yeah, these dreams used to freak me out as a kid as well...very eerie

  • Thank you so much. I love Erana with all my heart and always played for Paladin to have a special connection with her.

  • I tried watching the movie and I got error 52.

    D:

  • lol

  • Thanks for uploading these. I absolutely loved all of Siera's games. Pure magic and nostalgia.

  • Was this the game with igor and the Inn, and the joker? Or am I completely wrong?

  • It definitely had Igor and a gnome named Punny Bones, is that what you're thinking of?

  • Oh yeah, most def. Sweet I want it now. Do the versions on Amazon play on Windows Xp?

  • They should! And if not, I'm sure DOSbox can emulate them for you.

  • The gypsy readings were just as good. Someone should make clips of all those.

  • Oh wow, that's a good idea! I'll see if I can do that. :D

  • :D. That would be great to see again. All this brings back a lot of memories. The quest for glory was my favorite sierra series.

  • i'm curious, i notice when i had this game there was a narrator voice and every character except the hero had a voice to. i notice none of the quest for glory 4 clips dont have that.

  • There was a CD version of this game that had voice acting, but I never had it so my version does not have it. :O

  • ahh that makes sense then. my older brother bought i belevie the 4 pack because it had the renew version of number 1 and the voice acting in 4. lol, i beleive the graveyard keeper 'igor', his voice is funny when he says 'hey baby, you want to light my pyre....little graveyard humor there' XD . i wonder why nobody has anything on youtube of quest for glory 5. that was an awesome game to, espcially the hydra.

  • Thanks for posting these. That's some pretty intense writing and ties together several games of the series.

  • Too bad you don't have the version with John Rhys-Davies as the narrator. But anyway thanks for the upload

  • Well Zarla, thanks for listing all the dreams, but I am in the same predicament as you are in regards to the Paladin's dreams... every time I get to the part where he kisses Erana and the bubble screen fades away, the game just hangs, no matter what I do. I guess my only choice is to skip that dream and just go on with the game.

  • Really? I don't think I've ever encountered that glitch...I just didn't have a paladin save ready so I just went with a warrior to get these. :O I should check with my paladin and see what that's about.

  • Wait, I was wrong, you could get the dreams as a Paladin. I just had to try at another night. :/ Anyways, one thing I've noticed is that you finish off all the dreams and go to sleep in the garden/staff again, they just rewind.

  • Yeah, that's right! But for my fighter here they just stopped entirely. I guess that's another Paladin only thing.

  • I love this series. You would not happen to have the dubed version? Its been a wile since I've played mosly due to not being able to instal on xp anyway wich class is this set of dreams for love to see the set for each class

  • Nah, I never played the CD version, so I don't actually have it anywhere. You can play this okay on WinXp if you use DOSbox though.

I was a Warrior really quick here, but I think the dreams are all the same, except for the Paladin who gets some more. I think.

  • Thanks how does dosbox work?

  • Just google dosbox and download it from their site, they have walkthroughs and everything all there.

  • Oh wow, I JUST finished playing through this game for the first time last night. I only got through three of the dreams... should've done all of them, especially since I was a Paladin. Thanks for uploading!

  • how were you playing old computer or used somthing like dosbox?

  • I was using an old computer with MS DOS.

  • play through please? Magic user if possible, blessings!

  • I get what you mean. For some reason that between worlds comment makes me think of Call of Cthulhu and other lovecraftian type stories, especially the darkness and Dark one references.

Thanks for posting these, like I said, I never got to play this one.
