POP GOES THE EASEL, an episode of ARE YOU BEING SERVED (the club) and other films have the same messy formula. They HAD to be all done in one take -as no actor would put up with being hit and splatted over & over by pies, clay, etc. Neither could the set take the abuse !
Actually, the prize fight scene does indeed exist complete. You might be thinking of the Eugene Palette-banana peel scenes that bridge reels one and two.
Just like the one last surviving print of a Private Snafu* film was destroyed, melted, in the -fortunantly successful- process of downloading the film to videotape,.
Private Snafu was not a theater release Warner character, but was used in training films to army recruits on the mistakes one should NOT make.
Lou Costello is suppose to be in this film (as a young man). Gathered from the information I got, "he can be seen in an early scene as a member of the audience at the prize-fight mentioned in the film's title" and "spotted sitting ringside (what ever that means."
IT IS COMING...! @GuyverFan95 This is all that survived, unhappily. Several minutes have been lost, unless they're in someone's basement, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Wonderful Stuff..................but for all the marvellous silliness, it is Anita Garvin's performance at 2:58 which steals the scene. Thanks for posting.

I believe the prize fight sequence is long gone. When Youngson extracted this scene, he didn't realize he was clipping from the only known copy.

@revry - No, the first part of this film is on YouTube. As filmfan mentioned, it's the middle section of the film that seems to be missing.
